1999 Honda CR-V EX 4dr SUV AWD

Very affordable compared to "large" SUVs of unused large drive train and tires for off-road use but not utilized in Suburbia. CRV has more interior room. Automatic shift to 4- wheel drive is great: acts quicker than driver reaction to roacondiction change, and no need to worry about forgetting to be in 4-wheel drive at high speeds. Mileage is 20 to 25 mpg city.

Best Features

Large cabin, front and back (shift stick on column, not btwn seats), auto switch to AWD, portable TV and hunting equip fits beneath standard picnic table/cover, 6 cup holders, easy fold down of 50-50 rear seat w/ hide-from- view straps for head rests and seat back, storage tray beneath pass. seat.

Worst Features

Optional fog lights, auto window switch location, horn button location, no side air bags. Most addressed in later models
