Used 2022 Honda Civic LX 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl CVT) Consumer Reviews
Good value, some issues.
I recently moved into a Civic LX sedan after driving a 2016 Lexus for 6 years. I am extremely happy with the feature set as well as the fit and finish of the Civic. I expected to be pretty underwhelmed after moving from a car that had an MSRP of over double my new LX but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The handling at everyday driving speeds is more than fair, the steering feels tight and responsive. The ride is much smoother than I anticipated. I wouldn’t take it down winding roads for a joy ride but I don’t think many people that are considering a Civic would. It’s a car that knows what it is, a everyday driver with good fuel economy and a solid set of quality of life features. One negative I noticed is that I think they missed the mark a bit by not including TPMS sensors but at the price point I can’t complain too much. It’s a fairly robust package either way. I'm editing this review now much later to share some problems I have had with this vehicle. The windshield wipers are the most poorly designed thing on the car. I cannot believe the current iteration was allowed to make it out of the design phase. First of all, in order to raise the wipers (Freezing Rain, Cold snowing conditions) you have to put your wipers in "service mode". The consequences of not doing this is damage to the paint on your hood! Ask me how I know! The wipers themselves are hilariously bad. Poor contact to the windshield, a streaky mess. As an added bonus you cannot put on a 3rd party wiper because Honda has graciously given us a proprietary clip so good luck. You get garbage and you will like it. Lastly, mounting the sprayers for the washer fluid on the wipers is an absolute smooth brain move. They freeze, the sprayers get clogged with ice and snow. Its a disaster. The exterior styling is another plus for me as I like the revamped front end, it’s sleek and aggressive compared to older Civic models. The rear of the car could use the same treatment, it’s a bit safe for my tastes styling wise but I wouldn’t call it ugly. Pros: Handling Feature Set (Auto High Beams, Lane Departure, Adaptive Cruise, Blind Spot Detection, Collision Avoidance, Apple Car Play) Exterior Styling Fit and Finish Fuel Economy Cons: No TPMS Inability to default Auto Engine Stop to Off The 2022 Civic LX may not be the cheapest car in its class but I think the combination of sleek modern styling coupled with a robust feature package make me glad I chose it over competitors in its segment.

Mixed feelings so far
I've owned a bunch of civics a 2007 2010 2017 and now a 2022 all have been very reliable cars to date, this one looks fantastic the redesign looks great inside and out but I have a few complaints, the seats much like the 2017 are miserable for long trips minimal lumbar support and rock hard honda needs to fire their seat designer, road noise, I only have an lx model but it is God awfully loud on anything other than glass smooth pavement, electronics I've had a few occasions where my cruise would suddenly stop working no idea why but it just did also twice its told me to take it to the dealer for a fob issue which then disappeared the car has 5 years of warranty but these issues started I the first month which makes me nervous for rhe long term, if honda put better seats, better noise reduction and less finicky electronics this car would 100% be the best in its clas sbecsuse its gorgeous exceptionally good on gas has a great layout and driving mechanics etc...... it just needs perfecting, UPDATE the car has no ac no cruise drivers seat is showing unreasonable signs of wear after 6 months the infotainment system is wonky and one of my fobs triggers the anti theft system oh and the windshield squirter don't work.... I'm beyond livid honda has no parts to replace the defective ones and hasn't since April whe t he problems started and I have received no date that any of the issues will be fixed... the build quality of this car is nowhere near what I expect being long time honda owner and despite supply chain issues customers that buy new vehicles should have issues addressed In a timely manner and I have not... my next vehicle will be a Toyota as the whole experience with this car has been a supreme p!$$ off

2022 Honda Civic ex
My 2022 Honda Civic was great for the first year Igor in my car the next summer of 2023 with 37000 in’s and turned on the ac to cool off To my surprise I was only getting hot air I called the nearest Honda dealer to book a appointment for inspection The dealer charged me $640 for the diagnostic and Freon I wasn’t happy The tech told me there was no Freon and they could not find a leak I brought back my car 2 weeks later to have the technician tell me that a rock hit the condenser and that’s why I have no ac 37000 Kim’s this is unacceptable Honda wants $1678 to fix the ac and I could drive down the road and get another stone hit the condenser I also forgot to mention the dealer refunded the $640 for the diagnostic Out of good will I don’t by that at all I live in Toronto Ontario with lots of construction going on all the time I think this is a bad design as rocks shouldn’t be damaging your ac condenser so to make a long story short I am fighting with Honda canada because they won’t cover the repair under warranty with 37000 Kim’s Also forgot to mention my wife and son also bought 2022 civics and have bought many hondas from honda dealer ships I don’t think this is a good way to treat your loyal customers shame on honda

Worst one I've owned
Don't like this new design....can't get to the outside door lock without standing on your head. Hate the engine shutdown at stops and it is so plain compared to the 2017 Civic we had. Also hate how they placed the infotainment center on this car. This was a big mistake on Honda. Think alot of these cars will become trade ins
