Unexpected Issue
By taffy2011 on

2011 Honda Civic LX 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl 5A)

The first problem I had with this new car is a needed replacement of a front wheel bearing with only 15K miles. It also needed a realign. Now I know why CR didn't recommend the Civic for this model year.

Best Features

Seats and air are the best along with visibility.

Worst Features

Better build quality is needed.

Just had the left rear wheel bearing replaced at 10K miles on a 2011 EXL.

Wheel bearings rust when cars sit for an extended period of time. This is more common now than ever, because wheel bearings aren't as well made (on any car). CR didn't recommend the Civic for this model year because it doesn't report on vehicles the year they come out. This car is the culmination of five years of tweaking, so I expect it will be otherwise a very reliable vehicle for you.
