I like this car a lot. I'm currently getting 42mpg overall calculated from mileage and number of gallons to fill up. The car calculates mileage at 40mpg (Probably doesn't take into account the engine stops?). I'm used to a big fast car, so I listen to Led Zeppelin's How The West Was Won to compensate for the small car. It seems to get plenty of torque starting and over 55mph. Around 30-55mph the power is lacking. Someone said I can get better gas mileage if I turn off the engine while going down hill (affraid to try, don't want to mess up the engine). If money is not an object, I would recommend the Lincoln Town Car and convert it to natural gas. The Civic is half the price though.

I'd be making millions and I'd still be driving this thing. The design is great inside and out. Surprisingly room and big for a compact vehicle, though it still gets some wicked mpg. I love it. I drove a 93 Honda Accord before and it was as reliable though less cool. I used to take the thing off roading and never gave it oil changes- still never broke down. Hondas are reliable creatures. I give my 06 Civic regular oil changes, and have changed the brakes and transmission oil once. They just need regular maintenance (that can be done at home if you don't mind getting your hands a little dirty), and they'll last you forever.

If you're considering a Civic, then you already know it's tops in safety and gas mileage. You should also know that it's the 2006 Motor Trend Car of the Year, having beat out 28 other cars for that distinctive title. What you get for the money is phenomenal. Months of taking everything into consideration culminated in my buying the Civic EX sedan, and I'm very pleased for the most part. I had the deck spoiler added on (not the wing), as well as the chrome exhaust tip. Those two add-ons have given it a European design look, and it gets mistaken for an Acura or Audi. Fun to drive, like a go-cart. Pull the one- touch sunroof back and open the front windows, and you'll swear it's a convertible!

The ride is very smoothe and quite. I purchased the EX two door coupe and it definitely is a fast ride. Would recommend it to everyone! Excellent
