I tried the Focus ZX3 at 2.3L and is powerful but lots of gas consumed. This Si is 2.0L but the power is superb!! Unbelievable!! and the gas consumption, they are telling the truth when they say 26/30 .Dont mind the price, its worth it!!!

Using a Chevy Avalance and driving 3000 miles a month had me on a first name basis with the gas attendant. When my gas bill hit over $400.00 a month I knew I had to do something. I started by looking at the Toyota Prius but found the local dealers a challenge to deal with. Not only was the wait for a Prius about 6 months they were not willing to negotiate price or configuration of the vehicles options. That led me to the Honda Civic Hybrid. It is easier to drive than the complicated Prius. It was less expensive to buy and in stock. Its an easy car to own. It has plenty of acceleration for big city driving.Chevron misses me.

Excellent Car

I have had my mt hybrid just about one year and I am highly satisfied. Over the 30K I have driven it, I am averaging 51.4 and have had tanks at 56 or more several times. I never have problems with acceleration as I keep an eye on the battery gauge and love trying to make one tank of gas exceed the next. I strongly recommend changing the air filter even before recommended interval, as a modestly dirty filter will drag down mpg by 10 percent.

Having recently become a (initially reluctant) Civic owner I felt I should leave my 2 cents here. My wife and I commute to work and my Jeep was killing us on gas. The civic's reputation for durability and gas mileage drew us in. This car fits our commuting life style. Its roomier than I thought inside and sleek enough outside that I dont feel like its my parents car! We arent yet 30 after all. The gas consumption is the best feature of this car for us. Its a real miser with gas and thats fine. I have come to really enjoy the extra money in my pocket...makes it easy to fall in love with the car!

I got my first Honda and drove home from the dealership in 4 inches of snow...Michigan weather. It was a test that showed me how the car handles. Great manuverability in changing lanes on slippery, wet roads, the ABS kicked in. Good stopping at lights and great acceleration and traction on turns. All the while my kids slept comfortably in the back seat. Performed admirably...I give it an A-1 and I've driven a lot of cars over the years.
