1992 Honda Civic VX 2dr Hatchback

Best car I've ever owned. Only
replaced the typical (tires, battery,
brakes,tuneup,timing belt,etc) Needed
new CV boots at 140,000. Replaced
driveshafts (about $330.00). Used Mobil
1 since 500 miles. Maintains 42 MPG
city/highway. Rust is starting to
become a concern. Wonder how much
longer it will still look acceptable.

Best Features

Excellent mpg (once got 58 from Chicago to Detroit), easy to park, easy to work on, excellent clutch - still seems like new. Good braking. Body integrity was excellent - nothing broke except the driver's door lock. Still goes 80 MPH on freeway quietly and smoothly.

Worst Features

Needed cruise control as standard, Didn't have intermittant wipers. Could have used better rust protection. Exhaust system was expensive to replace but only needed to once.
