2005 Honda Accord Sedan EX 4dr Sedan w/Leather (2.4L 4cyl 5M)

Review

I've had my Honda for about 2 weeks now and it's great. Nice smooth ride and tons of standard features. I originally looked at Acuras and got most of the same stuff for a better price with the Honda. The interior is comfortable and there is plenty of room in the back seat for an adult. Oddly, the fact that it is so quiet and smooth has one drawback...in the 5 speed it's hard to hear the engine revs with the radio on so you better watch the tach!

Best Features

XM Radio, standard sunroof, telescopic tilt wheel.

Worst Features

Radio shows info (song title, artist, etc) on XM stations but not FM like many other cars. Sunroof switch is hard to reach.

2005 Honda Accord Sedan EX V-6 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 5A)

Review

Excellent car - superb build quality, equipment levels, and performance. dealer was first rate - received a $2500 discount + an "excellent" Blue Book trade-in on my Passat. Dealer was professional and I felt very satisfied with the experience. Not the prettiest car I've owned, but feel strongly it will be one of the most enjoyable and reliable.

Best Features

Engine - engine - engine! Black leather/alloy trim interior. Build quality - comfort - stereo system - storage space - and love driving it!

Worst Features

fog lights/wheel locks should be standard not an expensive dealer add on (Which I did not pay for!)

2005 Honda Accord Sedan EX V-6 4dr Sedan w/Navigation (3.0L 6cyl 5A)

Review

I wanted more power so I traded my 2003 Accord EX 4 cyl. w/NAV for a 2005 V-6 EX w/NAV and not much has changed. Build quality is great. The V-6 is quieter than the 4. The 6 feels better on the freeway. The V-6 is getting me right at 30mpg on the freeway. I sacrificed about 5 mpg going from the 4cyl. But it’s worth it to me. I appreciate the Side and Curtain Airbags for 2005, as well as the lighted steering wheel. The 05 NAV added more voice commands than the 2003 NAV. Honda also improved the User Interface and added new features to make already the best NAV on the market even better (Acura/Honda – same NAV).

Best Features

Safety, Fuel Economy, Large Color LCD Screen, NAV, XM Radio, Voice Commands, the Accord key.

Worst Features

Xenon/HID headlights Bluetooth Phone capable Add auto up/down to all windows Additional Voice Commands - esp. for Calculator ie. One, Two, Three, Plus, Minus, Equal etc. and Alphabetic Commands for text input ie. A, B, C etc. which would make the NAV practically "Hands Free"

2005 Honda Accord Sedan EX 4dr Sedan w/Leather (2.4L 4cyl 5A)

Review

After the first 500 miles I noticed a squeak in the dashboard. I'm now at 1500 miles and the noise has ceased for about 450 miles. The only other negative thing with the 4 cylinder is it's slightly (and I mean slightly) rough warming up in the morning. After it's warm though it's silky smooth. There was the Nissan Maximas 6 cylinders tradeoff for the 4 cylinder Accord.(We all know Gas Prices are outrageous). But so far I'm very pleased.

Best Features

Unexpected pepiness from the i-vtec 4 cylinder. Built in XM Satelite Radio (Cool). All around interior/exterior for thoughtful fit and finish. The leather interior is finished in a high quality way (stitching etc.)

Worst Features

It would be nice to have tire pressure monitors (this is the EX Model afterall). And the Tripometer A/B reset is kinda funky. I wonder also why they decided to only display outside temp with the trips and not the overall odometer?

Review

Had the car for five months now had no problems so far just an air bag recall... First day i drove it home, had to take the freeway i noticed door wind noise and the suspension a bit springy or tight...After five months still noisy and the suspension bouncy. Other than this car is great. Mileage is good looking at todays gas prices..... Great car just two important negative selling points for my next honda.

Best Features

Interior,great brakes,handling is above average...

Worst Features

Cut the that noise down.... Make the suspension softer... Include an mp3 player....
