1994 Honda Accord EX 2dr Coupe

I bought my accord new and have put over
200,000 miles on it since college. It has
been extremely reliable with a very
concerning exception. The lower ball joint
in front end has failed 3 times causing the
wheel to disengage and the car to skid off
the road in a shower of sparks. It has
happened on both the right and left front
ends. Honda corp and the various
mechanics involved couldn't pinpoint a
cause. I have never abused the car and I
am the only driver. Other than that, I haven't
replaced anything other than tires, batteries,
brakes, and pipes. It has it's original clutch!

Best Features

It is not a performance car by any means but the V-tec engine and manual transmission make it fun to drive. I also love the moonroof.

Worst Features

Safety. Maybe beefier lower ball joints would keep the wheels from coming off when the car reaches its golden years. The suspension and handling have always been a little anemic.
