First Ford...

2013 Ford Taurus SHO 4dr Sedan AWD (3.5L 6cyl Turbo 6A)

Never owned a Ford product before.. and the SHO was an excellent first car. I'm ever impressed by the refined engine and AWD system. It provides effortless power all the time. This is a HUGE car and drives like it. In a straight line, no problem...but when you push it in the corners or try to make extreme corrections, the car LOUDLY complains. Build quality is lacking in a few spots (center console, a few attached body pieces that have come loose), but overall has been very good. Discounts abounded when I leased my SHO, along with 0% interest, made getting this car no-brainer.

Ecoboost is crap!

Water pump failed at 69k miles. 9k out of warranty. Ecoboost water pump replacement is a minimum of 2500$! Climate control seats control module also failed. Low coolant sensors also failed, which caused car to overheat and require towing. Constant brake issues also. Do not recommend this car or any Ford!

Solid Sedan

2013 Ford Taurus SEL 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

Couldn't be happier! The car rides smoothly with very little outside noise and the cabin is big, comfortable, and reasonably well finished. The trunk is massive also! It is very attractive and surprisingly efficient and powerful. No problems passing and get 21 mpg city/30 mpg hwy but have gotten up to 39 MPG at one point. Handling isn't fun but is very secure and steers right where you want it to.

Best Car I Have Ever Owned!

Love this car! Very classy looking. Great style inside and out. Great performance. Love the Platinum White Metallic paint with the Charcoal Grey interior. This can really get up and go when you need it to and I love the fast response with great handling. Everyone that rides in it always says how impressed they are with the smooth ride and not a lot of road noise. This car is beautiful inside and out and very roomy. I'm not a small person and I am very comfortable. The back seat is also very roomy with plenty of leg and hip room and the sound system is great with music filling the entire interior of the car with 8 speakers throughout. Comfortable for driver and passengers, large trunk space, high tech safety equipment, assembled in U.S.A., 6 cylinder, PERFECT! Love, love, love this car!!

this is my second Taurus. it is stylish, comfortable and low maintenance - normal checks, rotations etc. pretty much all i've had to do. the car gets excellent road mileage and low exterior noise when driving. very solid car. good head room and i am tall. update: the car is still running well. still a stylish vehicle and a good value for my money. I still have low mileage what with being near public transport out my front door and not having to work daily!( always a plus) but when i get on the highway or city freeways or tollways, i still experience good gas mileage and a smooth ride. My family had many Ford and Lincoln products over the years from Lincoln town cars to the the newer Lincoln options and of course the original Bronco - for my father. it was 27 years old when he died and still rain like a top! why pay for a status name when you can own a Ford? not me.
