Used 2000 Ford Taurus Consumer Reviews
Nice looking, but poor ride/quality.
Problems with this vehicle from the start and none of the dealerships (3 total) can seem to fix them: loud brake and wind noises, door rattle, vibration between 40-50 mph, paint defects when delivered from factory. Many other "minor" issues which took weeks to correct. Ford Motor Co (consumer assistance)has been no help.
Love This Car
this car is perfect for me as a young mother. it gives me the sporty look i want and the room i need i have had a few minor problems with this car (normal wear and tear issues that occur with any vehicle) and it does make a strange noise in the engine that noone can figure out. however, it has always started without missing a beat and been ready to roll wherever i needed to go. i will keep this car for a long time and have recommened other people purchase it
Ford Taurus
Everything about this car has by far exceeded my expectations.
Excellent midsize sedan value..
I've owned my '02 Taurus SEL for about 3mos & am impressed enough to take time to rate it in this review.I previously owned a Camry & Malibu, both late model & decent vehicles but, neither rode as comfortably & securely as this Taurus. Granted, the Taurus has always been known for high safety content & value & durability i'm told by other owner's. In closing,i highly recommend this finely engineered/built sedan..i have about 5,000mis so far & no problems or complaints to report.
An underated Yank!!!
Being a Brit now living in Kansas City with my Kansan Wife. I have looked really carefully at buying a larger car to compliment our 2.4 Litre Grand-Am for longer journeys. I wanted something that had reasonable performance (200 bhp is enough with your strict speed code here), an overhead cam engine for less friction and better fuel consumption and reliability, plus ease of servce and parts availability. The overall impression of the car is that I am really pleased with it. Typically with a 4 valve engine, you have to rev it mid-range , but where a pushrod engine fades out at about 5000 r.p.m, this kiddy starts getting interesting.
