2005 Ford Mustang Coupe GT Deluxe 2dr Coupe (4.6L 8cyl 5M)

Review

This is my second Mustang. My first was a 1997 V6; it was a wonderful automobile and was still running strong and reliable when I parted ways with it at 157,000+ miles. Then came my 2005 Mustang GT. In a word, wow. Twice the horsepower (300 vs 150) of my V6. Retro skinning, but in a real modern package. I drive the car every day to and from work and people constantly comment on how much they like the car. It's remarkably practical and easy to drive given its amazing performance, and gets pretty good mileage for such a hot performing car. I love it!

Best Features

-300 hp/absolute blast to drive -Runs on 87 octane gas -Retro good looks -Decent mileage for the power -Bigger cabin than before -MyColor gauges -Stock GT rims are very slick -Shifter much improved, even stop/go driving is good -Big trunk (13 cu. ft.) for a sporty car -Overall big bang-for-the-buck!

Worst Features

-Solid rear axle. Ford did this as mainly a cost-cutter, and while the car handles wonderfully given the live axle, most would prefer the benefits of an IRS. -No moon/sunroof available stock? What's with that? -Still a fair amount of plastic in the interior (though much improved).

Review

This car has been the most awesome ride I've ever owned. Everything about this car is FUN. Not only is the sleek design of this car is attractive but being able to just cruise with all that power under you is great. This car is extremely quick and has great handling.

Best Features

On the inside the dash is great. Being able to change colors is really a cool idea. And the way the windows operate is really cool, too.

Worst Features

The only thing I can think of is being able to move the passenger seat up and down. It just feels too low.

Review

I've been a driver of pickups for the past 15 years, but after test driving this car, I was a changed man. What a rush! Ford has returned the Mustang to its power status. The GT is a monster out of the box ... if you have a choice, go with the 5 speed versus the auto. It's a muscle car, not a cruiser. This is without a doubt the most fun driving I've ever had!

Best Features

One word: POWER! "My color" option is nice, but takes some getting used to. Shaker 500 system has plenty of thump.

Worst Features

Drink holders are placed right where your arm should rest to shift gears. When a drink is in one, it's awkward to shift around it.

2005 Ford Mustang Coupe GT Deluxe 2dr Coupe (4.6L 8cyl 5M)

Review

I am 42 years old and have owned many cars. I have never had a car that I like as much as this Mustang GT. I actually enjoy driving again. The car is beautiful and powerful at 300 horsepower. It is a bargain starting at under $25,000 with many standard features.

Best Features

The sound of the dual exhaust and roominess for a sports car.

Worst Features

It is perfect the way it is.

Review

Ideal Muscle Car. Combines the best of all concepts into one attractive and enjoyable package.

Best Features

Power, ease of driveability, comfort and retro style.

Worst Features

Ford could offer more options to emulate upgrades like in the 1960's, but other than that not much is needed.
