bought my cobra used with 4600 miles. had the drivers side head replaced under warranty at 5700 due to valve guide wear. ford has a TSB for this issue. you can tell if a cobra has the problem by listening for a tick that is present during idle. it is NOT injector noise but a moderately loud ticking. anyway its fixed and i like the car for what it is, but dont listen to these other reviews saying it will dust a z06 because it wont, not stock anyway. these cars are also very heavy and hard to launch out of the hole.

My '03 convertible has justified the term Fix Or Repair Daily. Without warning, the car will turn-off as I am driving. Mind you, it's in gear at the time. Of course, the steering wheel locks and I loose power-assist braking. Let's just say "VERY SCARY". It's already had the alternator replaced at my local dealership and continues to do the same. They obviously don't know how to fix it, but it's going back in tomorrow for the 3rd time. Linear acceleration is great, but don't even get me started on the tranny/clutch. My service advisors say that they are aware of the "chatter" that emanates from the tranny/clutch, but can only say it's "supposed to do

Well, almost a year now since I had it. It hasnt done me wrong yet. Only a shock swap that had to be done cause of the quality NYC roads we have here (yea right) Besides that, cars doing great, especially after a K&N oil filter. The motorcraft was fine, but, I suggest avioding FRAM. Made it feel sugglish after only 1000 miles after I changed the oil. Can definately feel a difference when using the K&N one.

Great car. Ford has done it again 390hp/390ftlb! I'm glad to see that they brought the Mustang back to supercar status. With a few mods you can have a car that will burn up any old Z06, and saving yourself at LEAST $10,000! Not to mention there is no electronic steering column lock to short out(Like the ones on all of the Corvettes)! (That means you can start your car, but you can't turn the wheel.) My buddy has had 3 replaced! The Cobra will take any turn you throw at it thanks to its 9" wide Goodyear Tires. Buy a Ford, support your country!
