Used 2005 Ford Five Hundred Consumer Reviews
Nice, Big Car
For years I've only been driving SUVs because of my size. I'm 6 ft 7 and not skinny! I tried out the 500 and was amazed that not only did I fit in this sedan, but I was comfortable and normal-human-sized people actually fit behind me too! This car drives like one of my father's neat German sports cars (BMW, Audi) compared to anything I've driven before - it's great!
New owner's impression
As of this writing, I have only owned this car for a few weeks. We looked at Lexus ES300 (used), Impala, Chrysler 300, Acura TL (used), and a few others. Many of these where fine cars. However, we felt that we got the most value for the money with the Five Hundred. This car has loads of space, is very comfortable, has excellent safety ratings, decent styling, and good mileage. On top of that, the dealership was very decent to work with. My wife and I are happy customers.

Great Car and Great Value!
The Ford 500 provides a wonderful driving experience -- with no nonsense, no hassle performance and agility. It's surprisingly comfortable, is peppy and is just the right size. The roomy interior as well as the trunk space is a surprise and a delight. Forget what the reviewers say about the exterior styling. If may not be "flashy" but it made a splash with me (and my wallet!).
All Around good car
Overall a good car - It has a lot of features that I didn't expect for the price of the car. The "lack" of power is over-hyped. I found the power more than adequate for the size of the automobile. I test drove a Mercedes C240 V6 and it seemed to have less power then the Five Hundred. I believe it's automobile writers personal preference than actual performance. I would recommend this car - but please read suggested Improvements).
we love this car
Our first trip was 350 miles and gas mileage was 25.5 city and highway. Ride is great, and we both love the memory seats and setting up high. This car has all the bells and whistles of a more expensive car. We came out of a 2003 Crown Vic, and we would never go back. I love the handling and ride. My first V6, and it has all the power we need.
