Used 2005 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Consumer Reviews
Love this truck
This is the first American vehicle I have bought since US vehicle quality went down the tubes in the early 80's. I drive my truck on road and off, highway and local, through extremely bad weather (hurricanes) and I have not had a single problem with this truck. I've hauled lumber in the bed, and pulled single axle trailers with this truck, and it has been great. The sunroof and 6 CD changer has been great, the heated seats are fantastic, and the AC works fine in our 100+ degree summers here. Ford just sent me a letter extending the coverage on the fuel injectors for 10 years....but I have not had any problems. I use premium gas and get oil and tires serviced on time. This is a great truck
Great Truck
I have received a lot of great comments about the looks of this truck and how good it rides. I've also been told that it seems to have plenty of power.

Pricing
For year and mileage the price was steep, I realized in the south this is the case when you buy a used truck. The dealership did not honor the price from edmonds, they claim they were not aware of price break but they did show me what they had invested in the truck it was a fair deal but not the price that attracted me.

This is a hauler, not a race car
This is a good truck. I've had it six months and only one issue with a shock leaking when I first bought it. Dealer fixed promptly. Tows 8700 lbs! This is a bear in parking lots, a big, burly, beast. Comfortable cruiser that will take you anywhere, but not 0-60 in 3 secs. 4WD worked well in the snow, but I do wish Ford would invest in some additions like DRLs, auto 4WD, side airbags, satellite radio. Don't get me wrong, I love this truck, but I have to acknowledge it's shortcomings. I LOVE the motor, I can go anywhere and really appreciate the 4WD and I can hook up the trailer (~7k lbs) and it will accelerate uphill! But I think the shorter wheelbase contributes to a slight rocking.
best way to travel
With over 40,000 miles in one year we have tested it. No problems. Mileage is good, power is good, ride is the best. Drives perfect. If you want the best truck on the market and American made too, this is what you want to buy. Has a top rated crash test to protect you and your family. We have been to the east coast and the west coast each two times and never an ache or pain from riding. Not bad for being seniors.
