Not even at 5,000 miles and stalled while driving

My wife has had a number of Ford Explorers to date. She really likes them and we got a new 2025 Ford Explorer recently. She just got to 4,000 miles and while driving the car just stalled and she had to pull over with manual steering (not easy) to avoid accident. Couldn't get it to start again. By the time I arrived the car started but the check engine light was on. I stopped it and restarted again, then the check engine warnings went away. We took it to the dealership for analysis and its been with them since. A very bad experience to date. The dealership has had it for 2 weeks with no estimate of when a fix will be done. This is not what you expect with a new car. In addition, they have no loaners to assist so we have been left without a vehicle and having to rent one out of pocket. Finally escalated to Ford Customer Service and getting some traction but just a major pain to date. I would stay away after seeing the mixed reviews here on this year of the Explorer. We are seriously starting to consider no longer being Ford customers from this experience. Too many strikes; 1. Unreliable car with very few miles on it, 2. After almost 2 weeks no help or estimation on when we will get vehicle back repaired, 3. No loaner or help with rental to correct this. Just bad experience all around.

The vehicle is beautiful. Great massage seats. However, the dashboard and touchscreen black out or freeze while driving, starting up or parked. Started after one month. Now it's up to 4-5 times a week. I've had this car 3 months. Long term there are potential problems. It's not resolved and Ford is overwhelmed with the amount of vehicles with the same issues. It will take 4-5 weeks to fix and no loaner vehicle has been offered. All buyers should be aware.

Purchased new 2025 Explorer ST Line. On the way home, noticed that the left turn signal was giving the indication that there was a burned out bulb. Took it back to the dealership and while it was there, it started working as it should. Dealership said that if it happened again, bring it back in. Well...it is in the ship now for the fourth time. Last time, they replaced the BCM (Body Control Module) and said that everthing was not working as it should. Picked it up the next morning and as I was driving off the lot, same thing happened so it oviously was not "fixed". Ford showed no empathy to my issues at all when I demanded a new vehicle, as expected. I have now filed a complaint with a Lemon Law attorney because the dealership has had the vehicle more than I have and I don't see this issue going away any time soon. Outside of this, I love it and just wish I didn't buy a lemon in the group

I paid 62,000.00 for this 2025 Ford Explorer ST. It does not come with an instruction book and the only user instructions are in the computer console. They are not complete. You can go to your phone and it will give better instructions for users. But when you try to follow these instructions you will find many headings in settings that do not appear in the car's computer information. I have 3,000 miles on it and I literally hate this car. The radio comes on each time you start the car and you can turn it off if you hit the off buton multiple times however, any small adjustment on anything even the seat brings the radio back on again. My cell phone tells me how to stop this but the setting points refrenced are not in my cars computer. Today the computer for interactive maps tells me it is "off Line". Nothing resets it. Also I got a notice that says my "Blue Cruise Control" is about to stop working and I can renew it again for 700.00 per year. I also found out my interactive google maps will require a subscription after 1 year. Can you believe this? I would never have bought this car if this had been explained when I purchased it. I traded in a perfectly good 2019 for this aggravating car. I would love to have my old car back.

I bought a brand new 2025 Ford Explorer. I've only had it 2 month's and it's been in the shop 7 times. The vehicle is loaded with bugs in the system and I'm afraid to drive it. It slams on the brakes for no reason thinking I'm in a crash. It's done it 3 times for no reason. Luckily there hasn't been a car behind me or l would have been rear ended. There's a lot more issues also that still aren't fixed. I contacted ford to do a buy back and they refuse. So I guess they're waiting until l'm doing 75 on the freeway and it slams the brakes on causing a 10 car pile up killing several people to buy my car back. Even the service managers are telling me my car is a lemon. I turned collision assist off and it automatically turns itself back on when I start my car. My car is actually in the shop right now. They've had my car longer than I have. It's a shame that they are a billion dollar company and they're willing to risk my life instead of just giving me a different car. I shouldn't be scared to drive my new car. If you're thinking of buying the new 2025 ford explorer DON'T!! It's been a total nightmare for me. I should be so excited to get a brand be car for the first time in my life and instead I've cried several times and Ford doesn't give [non-permissible content removed]. To top that off, 2 of the times my car was in the shop, my money was stolen out of my car, and second time they found my emergency medication I hide in my car and they stole that too. Par for the course I guess.
