What happened to Quality being Job 1?

1997 Ford Explorer Sport 2dr SUV 4WD

I bought the vehicle but everything
fell apart after 70000 miles: tranny @
93k, radiator @ 100k, transfer case @
105k. Never buy a leased SUV, you
don't know what someone did to it.
Overall though, I am very disappointed
and would not recommend a Ford SUV to
anyone. Maybe mine was just a lemon
waiting to happen, but I'll never get
another Ford SUV again. I can't even
begin to say all the things that have
gone wrong.

Best Features

Comfortable seats, great 4x4 [when it works], good road handling.

Worst Features

Better transmissions and transfer cases; better radiator hoses. Put some quality back in the SUVs
