Used 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Consumer Reviews
Loved the first, hate the second
On my second Sport, after enjoying number one, traded for number two. Sorry I did, quality is low, air conditioner has an inherent buzz and the attention to detail is at an all time low. Ford is really tying to save money so dealers are trying to keep warranty claims to a minimum. Squeak, rattles and rolls, it's a Ford.
explorer sport
good truck, not very practicle if getting into the back seat, but thats why you drive it. Not a big deal if u have to go into the back though...

defect
air comes in from front speakers... in the winter it's bad.... Ford will do nothing to correct problem.... just walked away... it's just to bad.... Dealer spent a lot of time but can't fix... It's a design problem.... I have owned Ford's for 25 years NO MORE...
a little touch up work
I have only had this vehicle for 4 months, so far no problems mechanically. The driver side seat rubs against the center console and squeeks, and the pink stuffing inside is already coming out on the carpet below. The passenger side seat is already tearing on the corner, and this is barely ever used.
Great value for the price
This is a very roomy SUV. I purchased the 5 speed model and am very impressed with the pick-up power it has off the line and passing power on the highway. The feul economy is not everything i would like it to be, but this also isnt a small vehicle. The design is very sporty and i get compliments on its appearance all the time. Overall im very happy with ford on this one.
