I never expected to love it
I was driving a BMW 315 when I came across the Sport Trac. It was supposed to be for my husband but I loved driving it..now it's mine! The back seat has so much room, even four adults can ride in comfort and there is plenty of room to haul just about anything. Sitting up so high makes me feel safer too.
Built Ford Tough
Over all this has been a great truck. Not the best gas mileage, but for a truck with a 4 liter 6 cylinder it's not bad. Bought it used with 188,000 miles, now over 200,000 and still going strong. Only been in the shop twice in over two years. One minor and one major repair.

Thoughts on Trac
I really like this vehicle. It's comparatively well appointed for the price. It's comfortable and fun to drive. The bed offers a number of hauling options with the tonneau cover (which creates a fully lockable water tight "trunk") and the bed extender. The Trac isn't as huge as some of it's competitors; therefore, it fits neatly in the garage. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who needs to have the ability to haul cargo and people. I read a review on Edmunds.com suggesting that the vehicle vibrates at highway speeds. I have not been able to reproduce this issue in vehicles I test drove or in the one I purchased.
