Drives like a Tank, never A let down!

I bought this ‘04 expedition Eddie Bauer used with 94,000miles back in 2010. It’s 2020 and currently have 174,000 miles on it after we recently added 2900miles on a 12day road trip from Las Vegas to Yosemite & San Francisco to Reno-NV to Swan Valley-Idaho to Yellowstone-WY and back to Las Vegas! What a trip! I’ve had a A/C and transmission changed under warranty back in 2013, never had a problem since then (though I did a tranny filter and fluid changed just right before the long trip). We did had starter issue in Reno-NV but that was fixed in a day, despite of the one day delay, the truck still purred like a kitten! I had a 21’ boat that I used to pull with and now we‘ let in the process to buy a 24’ camper to pull whenever we want to go and visit other states! This truck is like a tank, safe and comfortable for a family of 6...never had regrets owning this truck!

I've had small, mid, and full size trucks. I've had 4 different minivans. I've had a Trailblazer, 2 Mountaineers and 2 Explorers. I researched so many full size SUVs from the Yukon, Tahoe, and Suburban, and kept coming back to the Expedition. This truck has everything I want and need in a vehicle. The ride is rough, but I bought it used, so I don't expect it to ride like new. You sacrifice fuel mileage in a truck this big, but not too much. I get 1mpg less in this V8 than I did my V6 Explorers. It hauls the kids and all the dogs. It has great clearance. Handles the wind awesome for a vehicle this size. I honestly don't know why I didn't do this sooner. I wasted so much money on work trucks/vehicles before I landed on the Expedition. If you're thinking about it, just take the leap.

We've had three Expeditions and the new boby style is by far the best yet. The new power third row fold flat seat with the additional headroom in the rear makes it the most comfortable of all the large size SUV's we looked at. The gas mileage is very good for a vehicle this large . We get 15mpg local and 20+ mpg on the highway. The Eddie Bauer trim is very luxurious and we have been very pleased!
