Used 2004 Ford Expedition Consumer Reviews

Best looking SUV in it's class. Turns on a dime!
What they don't tell us
Well I'm perfectly happy with my Eddie Bauer 04'. But right away I noticed there is a problem with the air conditioner. Come to find out alot of people with the year 04' have complained of the same thing. Apparently the service department knew of this, and I asked, don't the salesmen know of this, it would of determined if I bought the truck or not. They said yes, but that they wouldn't tell me or anyone else because they want to make the sale. I'm going to be patient and wait and see if Ford comes out with another unit to install. It should be recalled pretty soon. Otherwise I've always been happy with the Ford Expedition.

Loved my Escape, but my Expedition...Wow
I've always enjoyed driving an SUV. So when I traded in my Jeep Cherokee for a Ford Escape, it was a definite upgrade. Three years later, I traded IT for my Ford Expedition. Needed the space with three Labrador Retrievers and Two Businesses.....The truck pulls our boat and you don't even know the boat is back there. The power fold- down 3rd row is sooooo convenient....and the space is more than ample. Comfort and ride are complimented regularly by family and friends......You can't go wrong! Ford creates a WONDERFUL SUV!
Reliable, Quality SUV
We purchased our Expedition in 2012 w/only 50k miles. The AC compressor went out w/in a week which I put on the dealership we purchased it from. We had purchased a warranty for this SUV which covered the repair and pretty much paid for itself immediately. Only other repairs were the ball joints, axle bushing, and alignment at 82k miles (warranty covered). Finally rear bearings, axle seal, front differential, pinion seal, and cam adjuster were replaced at 100k miles (warranty covered). Tires were replaced at 107k miles, but we only got 4k miles on them before loosing the SUV to a deer. We owned the SUV for 4 years and it served us well. I would recommend this SUV. We have purchased a warranty on all of our vehicles which has paid for itself every time. The transmission was was slipping a bit prior to the deer strike, but it was not to the point where I felt it needed to be addressed. Cold weather appeared to bring this issue out.
