2003 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Rwd 4dr SUV (4.6L 8cyl 4A)

Review

I only owned it a month before it was
totaled by a head on collision. We
were stopped and the air bags deployed
and saved us after God. Prior to that
it was enjoyable to drive. I owned a
1999 and enjoyed it also, but the 2003
was the best. It was a real pleasure
to drive. As soon as the insurance
settles, I will own another.

Best Features

Airbags, seat belts, and air conditioned seats. Next comes the back up warning and tilting rearview mirrors when in reverse.

Worst Features

Some other way for the cigarette lighter to be in the center console tray other than looking like a do it yourself project.Make the air suspension standard again.

2003 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 4WD 4dr SUV (5.4L 8cyl 4A)

Review

I am spoiled by my car. I love the new
look of the 2003, the a/c seats, the
dvd player, and the easy steering. It
has more luxuries that I didn't know I
needed. :)
Very happy.
Jenny

Best Features

back up sensor, a/c seats, captain's chairs, dvd player, driver 1-2 options.

Worst Features

back up sensor needs a back up light system. Cadiallac Escalades have a 3-4 verticle row of lights and they light up the closer you get to an object. Can improve on too much. It's a wonderful vehicle. Spoil you rotten. :)

2003 Ford Expedition XLT Premium 4WD 4dr SUV (4.6L 8cyl 4A)

Review

I like almost everything about it
except the 4.6 "lugs". It sounds like
it's straining just to go up a slight
hill, and it sounds tinny when you shut
doors. Not solid sounding at all.

Worst Features

more torque and body isulation

2003 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 4WD 4dr SUV (5.4L 8cyl 4A)

Review

Compared this to the Chevy, Toyota and
GMC SUV's of similar size. The
excellent third row leg room was
important to us with tall sons. We went
with the captains chairs in the second
row. Easy of entry is great. Sound
system is just ok. DVD is nice for the
long trips. We liked the Toyota Sequoia
but no captains chairs so leg room in
third row was poor. Gas milage about 13
in city so far. All in all very happy.

Best Features

Great interior room, folding power third seat, DVD and van or car like ride.

Worst Features

Better sound system.

Review

I took this vehcle to the dealer on
July 7, 2003 for vibrations at 45 to
50 mph. They checked front end
alignment, tire balance, replaced rear
end, drive shaft, u-joints and engine
and the vehicle still has the
vibrations. Ford has offered to
replace the vehicle with a like model
and forgive the mileage. I have
submitted a request for arbitration
under the Lemon Law. I have found
that Customer Service from the
corporate office, customer service and
local dealer to be disgustingly
indifferent.

Best Features

Size, comfort, interior exterior.

Worst Features

Fix the vibration problems and get rid of the Continental Tires.
