2003 Ford Expedition SUV Eddie Bauer 4WD 4dr SUV (5.4L 8cyl 4A)

Review

Awesome. Plenty of power and plenty of
room for the family. Even has the
cupholders. A mini-van on steroids.

Best Features

A man's truck but easy enough and stylish enough for a woman to drive.

2003 Ford Expedition SUV Eddie Bauer Rwd 4dr SUV (5.4L 8cyl 4A)

Review

The more I drive it the more it rattles.
First is was the suspension that needed
to be tightened and now the interior
doors and dash. The rear wings do not
open consistently. Has Ford forgotten
about Quality???? !!!! This is the 3rd
XP and my second was clearly the best.

Best Features

Better drive, power row third seat.

Worst Features

Better gas mileage, it would be nice if Ford would care about quality and the little details of workmanship. Diesel engine would be nice.

2003 Ford Expedition SUV Eddie Bauer 4WD 4dr SUV (5.4L 8cyl 4A)

Review

Great improvement from the old style.
2003 has much better handling, comfort
and feel compared to the 2000
Expedition. You can definitely feel
the difference with the 4 wheel
independant suspension. Interior
styling is great on the Bauer, very
disappointed heated seats didn't come
standard on the Bauer.

Best Features

Feel, comfort, and handling for such a big SUV

Worst Features

Heated seats

2003 Ford Expedition SUV Eddie Bauer Rwd 4dr SUV (5.4L 8cyl 4A)

Review

It was either this or the Suburban. But
almost all of our friends own a
Suburban, and the style is ho-hum. But
the Expedition is fantastic -- great
bold exterior. We originally selected
this car because of the independent rear
suspension. Even though it's still an
SUV, it doesn't feel as much like a
truck as the Suburban. The 5.4L is a
must. The power-fold and roominess of
the 3rd row are excellent. It is
missing the power recline, but the
memory option is great for 2 drivers.
The backup alert is also a must --
already saved my wife from running over
5 people who weren't smart enough to
wait for her to back out. And best of
all, it probably saved my marriage ;)

Best Features

Backup Warning. Independent rear-suspension. Power-fold 3rd row. Exterior styling. Power pedals. Wedgewood Blue -- nice color (wife had previously selected for our house color).

Worst Features

Full-power seats. A little more Hp (I'll pay for the extra gas). Front-Passenger Airbag: would like either seat sensor (like suburban), or key to disable for kids.
