Making the Ford switch

2014 Ford Escape SE 4dr SUV (1.6L 4cyl Turbo 6A)

I traded my 2012 Honda CRV for the 2014 Ford Escape to escape the Honda's horrible cabin road noise problem.
In my humble opinion, the Honda was built on the cheap, while the Escape's interior materials are much better and the doors don't sound like tin cans.

Fast forward to July, 2016. I've put over 50,000 miles of mixed driving on my 2014 Escape, which also includes two long road trips to Colorado. I've owned at least 35 cars and trucks and must say, the Escape is one of the very best vehicles of the bunch. It's fun to drive, love the fact it gives me great gas mileage (I have a heavy foot), the little fuel injected four banger engine has all the power and pickup I need while driving on the interstate highways, the seats are perfect as I can drive for hours without having back problems or undue stiffness. It's given great service and never had any mechanical problems or issues. The interior materials have held up very well and look about the same as my first day of ownership.

We're now into January 2017 and I've had the Escape for three years, which may be a record for me, since I've been prone to trade vehicles once they hit 40,000 miles. It's been a very good and reliable vehicle and have never had any problems or issues. I change the oil and filter every 4,000 miles. The original tires lasted 45,000 miles. 90% of my miles are highway miles which is much easier on vehicles than town driving at slower speeds. I'm a happy camper and don't plan on trading anytime soon.
