The Can't Escape!

[brand new Ford Escape 2014; coolant gasket issue left me and my child stranded on 110 freeway express lanes at under 60,000 miles; transmission had to be replaced shortly thereafter - it too left me on the freeway; received recall letters for both items AFTER I had already paid to fix them (a refund would be appreciated) and now the coolant is having an issue AGAIN - I'm sure I'll see another recall notice in the mail AFTER I've paid to fix this too, not to mention the Turbo leak.] Can't Escape this piece of Shiznit!

Worst car I've ever had

Since I bought this vehicle used it has had rear main seal replaced torque converter seal replaced, ptu revealed, turbo replaced, another torque converter seal replaced with a flex plate, engine block, and currently in the shop again for something else. I'd work on it myself but I don't have a hoist and there is a giant splash shield under it which .akes things difficult. Stay away from this year. (2014)

Ford never fixed the 1.6L engine problems. My car is always in the shop.

From an Edge to an Escape

I drove an Edge for 3 years. And I admit it was my dream car. It was fully loaded and beautiful. A 2011. But I moved into my dream home and my beautiful car was just no longer going to work. Have a side entry garage that the driveway curves over to then a sharp right into the garage. Not an easy manuvere. So instead of beating up my house and car I thought I'd get a smaller car. I love Ford. If you think buying the top of the line Escape with all the features will be as luxurious as the Edge, think again. Totally different class of vehicle. The Escape is very plastic. The seating is no where near as luxurious. But if you can get past that, you have yourself a really wonderful car.
