After two visits to the selling dealer, and being told they couldn't find anything wrong with it, then two more to the dealer in my town of residence, who agreed that the heater wasn't working right, my lemon's heater stopped working at all. I don't have time to be taking it into the dealership and leaving it there to be fixed. It needed a new center brake light, had to be realigned twice in the first week that I owned it due to something being broken. And that's just a short list. I won't buy another Ford.

This is a fun vehicle to drive and nice to look at plus we get lots of compliments. Then there is the MPG which is not as good as rated and the fuel range also seems less than the 15.1 gallon tank should indicate. I am hoping more owners will bring these concern up to Ford and have them addressed........

Happy with the purchase

2014 Ford Escape Titanium 4dr SUV AWD (1.6L 4cyl Turbo 6A)

Just bought a 2014 Ford Escape Titanium equipped with the 2.0 liter turbocharged engine new off the lot. I'm very happy with the purchase. I live & work in the hilly suburbs of Pittsburgh, and the 2.0 liter engine has plenty of power and it still handles like a smaller car. I had concerns about the SYNC feature but I'm happy to report that it is not broken like non-Ford salesmen claim. The negative reviews about "functional storage" on the redesigned Escapes are true, though. The glove compartment is small, hard to reach (for the driver), and nearly useless and there is very little in the ways of storage for odds and ends. Trunk space is smaller but opens up with the back seats down.

I have had this car for over 9 years and still like it. Have had no problems or issues and the only flaws on the body have been made by me. It still looks good and still drives good so why buy new?

Since I bought this vehicle used it has had rear main seal replaced torque converter seal replaced, ptu revealed, turbo replaced, another torque converter seal replaced with a flex plate, engine block, and currently in the shop again for something else. I'd work on it myself but I don't have a hoist and there is a giant splash shield under it which .akes things difficult. Stay away from this year. (2014)
