2004 Ford Escape XLT 4WD 4dr SUV (3.0L 6cyl 4A)

Review

We have only had our Escape a month but
we love it. We were going to get a Kia
Sorento but the local dealer was
unwilling to negotiate price. We went
next door to the Ford dealer (same
owner) to complain about the Kia
managers attitude. While there we
desided to test drive the Escape. I was
very suprised by how comfortable it is
to drive. The large cargo capacity for
a small SUV has come in handy already.

Best Features

My favorite feature is the engine by far. The 6 cylinder has amazing power.

Worst Features

I'd like to see an overhead console as standard equipment on the XLT model

2004 Ford Escape XLT 4WD 4dr SUV (3.0L 6cyl 4A)

Review

Like the title says, I own both the
Escape and Tribute, and must admit,
both are terrific vehicles. I don't
normally like SUV's at all, but these
twins ride like cars, have very
comfortable interiors (though there is
too much reliance on hard plastic
pieces), and plenty of power from the
V6. The engine's quiet, wind and road
noise low, and the cars are great on
trips. I can drive them for hours
without tiring. Other than the bargain
basement interior, I don't have any
complaints.

Best Features

Styling, great looking SUV's, if you pay for painted bumpers (and you should)...comfortable interior...nice ride, almost like a good quality road car...quiet, responsive engine...low road noise.

Worst Features

Dress up the interior, for there's entirely too much hard plastic everywhere.
