Used 2002 Ford Escape SUV Consumer Reviews
Not bad but could be better
Quality needs to be improved. I have 295 miles on it and have had to have a factory paint defect fixed. I had the known stalling problem at 133 miles. Not a great start
Ford Escape is Great
fantastic vehicle, very comfortable, the features of a full size SUV but in a compact package. Only bad feature is it is slightly top-heavy and thus prone to roll over if a sharp high speed turn is made. I have the full opion package with the leather seats and center console. Everything is really convenient. I will definitely buy another when the time comes
Incredible Buy
This truck with the 3.0 v6, and the 4x4 package is awesome. Treat yourself to the leather package, and no-boundaries package, I did.
Nice handling suv
Have had for two months now, continue to be impressed with the handling of this unit. Drives very much like a car. Wind noise around the A pillar is a bit of a pain, and the front seats could be a little more grippy. No major manufacturing defects have surfaced. One piece of rubber door seal has been a bit loose around the headliner area, but that's about it. Having test drove the Honda CRV extensively, this unit compares very favorably, particularly when you go to accelerate or take long crusing road trips. Strongly recommend the power driver seat as an option. Interior layout is very well thought out.
Wouldn't trade it for the world
I bought the Escape in 2001 because I wanted an SUV that wouldn't "break the bank" with gas mileage. I consistently get 20 MPG and have had only one mechanical problem. I have 50000 miles on it with no intentions of trading it in. I love this SUV!!
