Made for me!

I love the EcoSport. When I first sat in it I felt like it was especially made for me. It fit! I'm short. I loved just about everything about it. The cons are low gas mileage but I have only driven 2000 miles since February. I would have liked a CD player. The last con is that I can't pop the hatch door from inside. I pick my groceries up from the store and nobody knows how to unlock from the side of the door. So if its raining I have to get out and open it up.

We really liked this cute-ute as soon as we saw it on lot.. & always had very good experiences w/ Ford SUVs & trucks! Decided add to family fleet as extra vehicle for our college student & as all around functional sporty frugal SUV. Totally delighted after 2yrs nearly. Most popular vehicle we own! Everyone wants drive it. Recommend the 2.0L AWD SES. Best all around value. Plenty tech w/ SES. Looks great . Drives sporty..yet supple & secure. No issues @ all so far an don't expect any. Solid build quality . Could use more HP but it's similar to all in this class. Want more pwr/size? Get the Escape . This was 3rd vehicle for us & we are thoroughly happy. Put on ur list to drive & evaluate. *****Update ***** Still have the Ecosport SES 4wd & its been flawless! So happy overall we've added a new Ranger XLT FX4 crew cab truck to the family also! Test drove them all an the Ranger couldn't be beat. A 3/4 sized F150 all the way but sportier an more fun to drive like the Ecosport . We've owned alot of different vehicles including German & we are really into Ford products for good reason. Thinking of trading the Ecosport tho for that electric Mach-e SUV. Want an EV. Pricing it out. Fords trade in values seem to rank among the best. Thats a good thing. Enjoy the ride! #Ecosport #Ranger #Mach-E

I don't have anything good to say, honestly. At first i fell in love with it. We had it just a little over a year and we've had two major malfunctions leaving us stranded off the side of the interstate and back roads! The first the oil pump failed, second time it completely cut off on me in the middle of the road. WITH MY CHILD IN THE BACK! Luckily no one was behind me or i would've gotten in a wreck. This car has become a headache and not realiable!!

I've had the Ecosport for a year now. It has been awesome, the four wheel drive is great I have a steep drive way and it backs all the way up without even spinning. It's a real joy to drive too the only down side is the gas mileage, with that being said I found out if you use 100% gas you can get an extra 150 miles per tank full yes it cost a little more but well worth it. It's an outstanding suv I wouldn't owed any thing else.

Mixed Bag

The EcoSport is a good looking vehicle with a decent ride. I like the 4 wheel drive and sunroof on this SE model. The fuel economy is poor because the RPM's stay too high and the transmission/shifting is clumsy and unsophisticated for a subcompact priced over $25,000. One of the doors has a bolt that was not completely fastened and there are squeaks and creaks coming from the backseat so I am concerned about the quality and long term reliability. Bottom line, for a vehicle that Ford has assembled in a third world country, the price should be MUCH lower. And by the looks of the abundance of unsold 2018 models sitting on Ford lots all over the country, I think most car buyers out there agree. This SE model listed at $25,500 should have had a MSRP of $22,000, and then with several thousand dollars in rebates and discounts, it might have been worth buying.
