I wanted a decent-sized 4 door, and the Intrepid is more than I expected. The engine is just the right power, the handling is superb, seats very comfortable, styling is pleasing, good brakes and it's very roomy in front and trunk. Visibility is ok - driver side blind spot needs some attention, and front of car is invisible. Otherwise excellent.
This car drives like a BMW. Quiet, fast,
corners great, great mileage, faster,
tons of room, and the Audi/ BMW crowd
are not even aware of what just passed
them. Love the car and the price you can
get these used.
I have had my Intrepid for over a year
now and purchased at 39,000. I have
had only one problem, the check engine
light goes on and off but when checked
shows no problems. Other than that,
the performance of this car is great.
I have 2 kids and they are very
comfortable in the roomy back seats.
The truck is HUGE and enough room to
put lots of toys, car supplies and
groceries in all at the same time. I
have even hooked up a TV/DVD player
and new CD player and had no
problems. Just keep up the engine
maintanence on the car and you are
good to go.
Roomy back seat and the HUGE trunk!
It looks really cool as well.
The driver's blind side. I just put
in an extra mirror to fix that
problem. Gas will get you, especially
when the prices have skyrocketed if
you commute a long way to and from
work. At about $1.90 a gallon, it
runs me about $25 a week.
I've had my SXT for almost 2 years now
and I've had no problems with it. I was
rear-ended 8 months after buying it and
the shop did an excellent job of
restoring it to near new shape. Even
with this accident, I've had no
mechanical problems. Great car for long
distance traveling or the QUICK jaunts
to the corner store. I've been a MOPAR
fan since I was a teenager and the
styling of this car fits in with some of
the classics such as the 68-70 Charger.
Looking forward to this car being the
first one I've owned to far exceed 100K
before even considering a replacement.
Style is what caught my eye (that rear
spoiler is really cool). Being an old
MOPAR fan, it was the 3.5L 244HP with 4W
Discs & 17" rims that sold me. The quick
spurt to 110MPH (with more to go) proved
to me that it was indeed a modern pony
car. Finally, that TRUNK, its HUGE!
Ride some is sometimes harsh, but thats
what we live with to have handling and
performance. The road and wind noise
for such a "large" sedan could have been
