I’m fully expecting people to look past this small crossover with regards to dodges lack of quality and reliability in previous years, and I don’t blame you one bit, but hear me out. Finally I too realized it’s been a minute since I sought a new car and even I was taken back when I decided to get behind the wheel of this new hornet. Sure it’s modeled after an Alfa Romeo and that would scare most who knows a thing or two about vehicles. But this actually was an impressive little performance oriented vehicle. It’s small, nimble, quick and sporty all in one. It’s powerful off the line and actually quicker (not faster) but quicker than our Equinox RS. It has everything a small couple or family of 3 would be looking for and just enough oomph for the husband to not feel like he’s driving his wife’s car. It reminds me of the Durango in many ways but smaller, easier to park, easier to maneuver, and better on fuel plus it’s styling is on point for dodge. We have had our hornet for exactly 2 months and it’s never once given me any issues and I drive A LOT, nonstop stop and go city driving and it tackles it no issue. On the highway it’s nimble sporty and excellent for spirited drivers like myself. I’m consistently getting high 20s mpg on highway and it’s impressing me. I recommend if you’re seeking a CRV, Rogue, Tucson or something similar do yourself a favor and try this little rig out. I think this is one if they continue to manufacture it, will be my all time ride.
