2002 Dodge Grand Caravan eX Fwd 4dr Minivan (3.8L 6cyl 4A)

Looked at all minivans and pared the
list down to the Honda, Mazda and Grand
Caravan. I refuse to be railroaded
into paying $3k over MSRP for a car, so
the Honda was out. We ended up buying
the Grand Caravan ex and hit the road
on a 1200 mile road trip from SoCal to
Lake Powell and back. We hit extreme
temps, rain, wind, sand storms and the
van took it all like a champ. Very
comfortable and well thought out
vehicle. I am still a little worried
about the reliability of the power
train, but with the 7yr/100k warranty,
I think that is covered. Great van for
a great price.

Best Features

Love all the features. Auto sliding doors and tailgate are great. Engine was peppy - even at 115 degrees with a full load and the A/C running up the Baker grade. Cabin is very quiet at high speeds. Seats are very comfortable.

Worst Features

Suspension is a bit wishy-washy. All three mirrors give you three different reference points when viewing behind you - difficult to guage how close the car behind you really is. Re- circulation A/C button didn't work at all (really stinky cows in Norco too!)
