2023 Dodge Hornet GT Plus 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 9A)
My Hornet has been exactly what I expected. I needed a small-ish CUV with ground clearance, AWD, decent fuel economy, and get up and go. This was the only SUV that fit the bill and had soul. This isn’t a CUV like a RAV4 or CRV; it’s not a function over form nor is it engineered to outlive us all. It’s built in the same vein as other Dodge products, it’s powerful, moderately economical … (28 average for me), handles well, and is a little on the pricier side to maintain (tires and brakes are a bit spicy). This is the CUV for the person who needs room to carry a few boxes and wants to enjoy their commute. This vehicle puts enjoyment and features ahead of utility and pragmatism. Is it the most sensible choice for everyone? No. But is a charger or a challenger? Absolutely not. You buy it because it has a soul and makes you smile. It may not be a perfect CUV with its limited rear seat space and less than great economy but it is the perfect CUV for me.
