Recent unfortunate experience at the dealership. I was emailed a price quote on a 2024 Civic and completed the trade in value estimator using their website for my vehicle. Arrive at the dealership, get quoted a price several thousand higher than the online price and my trade several thousand lower than their trade in estimate range (again from their website). Specifically stated several times to sales and the manager I want a 3 year/12k mile per year lease. Initially cannot come to an agreement on price so we leave the dealership. Get a call about 20 minutes later stating they will make the numbers work so we drove back to do the paperwork. Get through the majority of the paperwork, transferred plates and belongings out of my vehicle, and notice they were giving me prices based on a 10k mile/year lease. Staff refused to update the paperwork unless I paid more every month on the lease. Staff also acknowledged that I was specific in asking for 12k mile/year lease and that we never discussed 10k mile/year leases. “It was an accident they did not update the paperwork.” Would thoroughly check over your paperwork before completing a purchase as they “accidentally” put different numbers in the lease paperwork than what is discussed/verbally agreed upon.
