Bad sales practices
I made a trip to Taylow VW to look at leasing a new GTI. I found their staff to be very friendly and wanting to help, however the actual knowledge of the vehicles they sell was limited. When it came to talk numbers I found their lease number to be exceptionally high. They were more concerned with wanting to know the amount I was willing to pay each month rather than showing me the complete numbers breakdown of the lease. When pressed about it I was eventually given the money factor and residual numbers for the lease. They DOUBLED the money factor set by Volkswagen. I again tried to get a complete breakdown of the numbers for the lease. I was told that they would have to email me the numbers. I wasn't exactly sure why they would need to do this, but I have them my email and then left car-less. A few days past by and I received an email from my salesman. It did not contain any sort of breakdown of the numbers, only a monthly payment quote. It seems to me that Taylor looks to take advantage of those who are not knowledgeable in the numbers aspect of leasing. They push for a monthly budget and then slide customers into a car that they've inflated the price of in order to make large amounts of money, when in reality the customer could afford a lot more car for the same money than what Taylor VW wants to allow. My advice to any potential Taylor VW customers is to shop around. Talk to other dealers, do your research, and I'm certain you will find much better deals than what Taylor VW wants to offer
We know and admire the Taylor Family. They make buying a car a true pleasure. And working with Tyler Stephenson was great and it was so nice to see John Campbell as well! Taylor makes good on their promises and are the best dealerships around!!
My experience at Taylor VW was a truly exceptional one. Judy made me and my family feel very welcomed, showed us around even before the dealership was opened and was incredibly patient with us as we made our decision to purchase. I never felt pressured to buy. The fact that I felt that way made a huge difference for me. I typically hate buying cars. I usually just send my husband to take care of everything but, my experience at Taylor VW was truly amazing and I would definitely do business there, and with Judy Brenner again !!
