Engine light came on the day I was serviced

onI came In Originally to purchase a key fob, took it back to my vehicle, but was unable to pair the fob, later determined my car battery was dead, so purchased a battery but still unable to pair the fob, so ended up having the dealership tow the car in to find out that the fob was defective. So they ordered a new one and I also had them register my battery to my vehicle. Upon picking up my vehicle went 3 blocks and my engine light which never ever has been on previously came on. Upon my return was advised this had nothing to do with what they did to my vehicle.
