Dealership Sales Review
We bought our 2014 Flex here early this year and were very happy with our experience. I had a couple of similarly equipped Flex's that I was looking into at Autonation Frisco and 5 Star Ford Plano when my wife found one with the options she wanted at this dealership through Ford's website. I was connected with Jonathan Jones in the new sales department, told him of the other vehicles I had found, and what kind of deal it would take to get me to commit to the drive. He called me back with a price I thought was reasonable based on my research. I was pretty emphatic that making the approximate 70 mile drive one-way from McKinney to Burleson for this particular vehicle was a big commitment on my part, and any changes to what we had discussed would result in me buying from the other dealer. I ended up arriving at the dealership at about 7:15 PM and was glad to see that the vehicle we had discussed was parked in front (with the same options as discussed!). The only added option that wasn't noted on Ford's web search was the front window tint (read on). Long story short, while I was fully prepared to walk out without making a deal, I didn't. I was fully expecting the typical "There's no way my manager will approve that - but I'll ask anyway" run-around, but I experienced none of that. Jonathan Jones was great and was very professional, and handled everything quickly. I honestly felt like the whole deal-making part of it had already been done over the phone, which was great. I have never left a dealership after buying a car and not had something that I could complain about, from the salesman, to the New Car Manager, to the Finance Manager...This time was different, in a very good way. The only thing that took a while was with the Finance Manager having to go over all of the extended warranty options. Even that was bearable, and I left feeling very good about the whole experience. We were also pleasantly surprised at how the dealership handled our front windows never being tinted when we bought the car. Our contract showed front window tint, but it was cold and storming on the night that I bought the car and we overlooked this work not having been done. We finally had the windows tinted this past week, some 9 months later, along with a replaced washer fluid hose, oil change and tire rotation. The delay in getting the windows tinted was our own due to the long drive, so they can't be faulted for that. They apologized for the oversight and put me in a free rental car. We rate this car buying experience a 5 out of 5. Not just overall, but in every aspect. Just wish they were closer to McKinney.
