Stellar Care and Service

My husband and I recently traded in a lemon of a car for an awesome one at Carr Subaru. The staff there was so gracious and accommodating to us. They gave us more than the trade in was worth and swallowed the cost difference for us...they worked up a wicked finance plan for us, and even gave us a gas voucher to use on our way home! We were treated like family from beginning to end. Cannot say enough about this dealership. They are honest, dependable, and truly looking out for the customer.

Damaged my car and took no responsibility

I brought my car to Carr Subaru to help find an oil leak. They found the problem and we set up a later date to have the work done. But after the dealership gave me my car back after the first inspection I found my leather steering wheel was badly damaged, right in the area you hold the wheel. I quickly pointed it out to my service adviser Ryan H., it was a Saturday and his manager Mike W. was not present that day. After my first talk on the phone with Mike W. he was already telling me not to get my hopes up because he wasn't able to picture how his staff could have done any damage. He concluded my car was in an accident, came from a different state and was not brand new. Because of those reasons Mike W. felt they didn't have to take any responsibility for the damage they did to my car. Overall the experience I had was very discriminatory. From what Carr Subaru's service manage Mike W. stated this is not a place to have your older car serviced, they take no responsibility with handling your car if its older and has miles on it. I didn't go in to have my steering wheel damaged but to find an oil leak. I guess if they put a huge dent in the fender they wouldn't of taken any responsibility either.

Great internet sales department

We first visited the regular sales floor at Carr Subaru and left feeling incredibly discouraged and disappointed. After checking out another Subaru dealership in the area, we gave Carr another shot, but worked exclusively with their internet sales team. I must echo another reviewer's point when I say that Vijay is an awesome salesman and a very friendly, honest, and respectful person. He was prompt and thorough in his communication with me and delivered on every single promise made. I couldn't ask for more. Don't waste your time on the sales floor at Carr Subaru, but DO email Vijay and let him know if you're in the market for a new Subaru. You won't be disappointed!

I HATE buying cars. However, Vijay ROCKS!

I was working with multiple dealers, looking for a specific vehicle, options, price, and trade in value. I do not like dealerships, and preferred to do as much as I could via email... prior to going to the dealership. Carr Subaru is FANTASTIC... Both Vijay in sales, and Edgar in finance were lovely to work with, and I have already recommended them HIGHLY. Vijay was super attentive to my needs and preferences, and went out of his way to honor the way I wanted to buy a car. As much as there is a closer dealership to me, where I COULD go for service, I will go back to Carr and give their service a try too. Thanks Carr Subaru for making an unpleasant chore, a delight... Better experience this time

We had a terrible experience at this dealership 10 years ago when we bought our first Subaru. The experience was similar to other more recent reviews of "hard sell" car sales tactics at this dealership. We ended up buying elsewhere that time. We swore we'd never go back. This time, we checked all dealerships in the area via the Internet & e-mail to see a) who would respond, b) how quickly they would respond, and c) how close their quote would be (if they provided one) to what we knew a reasonable deal should be. Carr was the first to respond, their deal was by far the lowest for comparable features, and they had the biggest selection in stock from which to choose. Their Internet/fleet salesperson was very low-key, only worked by appointment, and gave us his lowest price out of the gate (which we knew through research was a reasonable and fair deal). There was absolutely no pressure. We ended up purchasing the car and were in and out in about 3 hours (including the time test driving the vehicle). While I'm quite certain there are still some old-school sales shenanigans going on there (as evidenced by the wolves lurking outside the showroom door), do yourself a favor and give their Internet process a try. It ended up saving us a bunch of time and while it's possible we could have negotiated another couple of hundred bucks by spending 7-10 days running from dealership to dealership, we didn't feel it was worth it.

Do not trust Carr Subaru Sales

Do not trust the sales people at this dealership. When arriving you will initially talk with a friendly (and likely very uniformed)'junior' sales agent, when the negotiations start you will be transferred to a 'professional [violative content deleted]' sales agent. I was given incorrect information about several elements of the deal and then completely lied to. Be very wary of the sales agents who call themselves 'Persian', they are slick and are not to be trusted. The service department, on the other hand is pretty good and been helpful.

I am a female and admit that I dont know everything about my subaru but I do know enough to tell when someone is pushing me to do something I dont need or treating me like a dumb female that knows nothing. That as the feeling I got at the previous dealership but when I came to Carr I was treated the exact opposite. They found a problem that I complained about right off the bat and were able to fix it the same day. They found some other issues with my subaru that I didn't realize were there and were also to fix it the same day. I was able to get a ride to and from my work by their shuttle. Both the morning and afternoon drive was very nice and plesent to ride with. Ever since this experince, five and half years ago, I have been a loyal customer to Carr. I tell all my friends and family to take their subaru to Carr for servicing.

Carr Subaru Service

I recently purchased my second Subaru Outback from Carr Subaru, DUE TO THE GREAT SERVICE DEPARTMENT my first Subaru turned 13 years old and it's still in great operating condition. The last 13 years Carr Subaru service department has maintained my Outback keeping it in perfect running condition they have never failed to meet or surpass my expectation, have always been at or below estimated cost. I am always greeted by my first name and with smiles it may sound corny but they treat you like your a family member. I have recommend my friends and co-workers to use Carr Subaru Service Department and so far all have be very pleased and happy with there experiences.

Old school unless you use their internet unit

My brief visit to these folks reminded me of an Old school dealer, with usual trappings, some sales pressures and markups on the cars they had. There were also no provisions for buyers who ended up with a Lemon (Oregon has no lemon laws). All they succeeded in doing was drive me elsewhere.
