Rip off car lot

by rippedoffinokc on 12/08/2017

Just bought a used Nissan Murano from the lot thier lot. Thinking that buying a used Nissan from a Nissan dealership would be better than from a mom and pop, I ubered from Dallas to Oklahoma to make the purchase. Took it to my regular shop in Dallas, they had to fix an oil leak, spark plugs were going bad, and had to change the air cabin filter which had the car smelling while I was on the way to Dallas. On top of that. After driving it for less than a week, the brakes started making noise, and autozone says that if the brakes aren't fixed then I'll have to buy rotors. Don't buy a used car from them. They are rip offs.

Scammed

If you want an honest and upfront dealership, do Not buy from Hudiburg Nissan. If you shop there, read and read again every written word. I have bought many new cars. The worse part is the bargaining and haggling for the best deal. Not at Hudiburg, the bottom dollar you bargain for changes at closing. To me and to most people, "I will throw this in to thank you for buying from us means it is a gift. Not at Hudiburg, they will throw it in means you pay. In addition, when they ask, "What can I do to get you to buy from us today?" What you agree to is not what you get at closing. In my opinion the worse thing of all is the promise to go over every word writen and get back to me, is a meaningless. I called about my concerns on May 19th. Both Ryan (sales manager) and Mike Day (finance manager) gave me their word they would meet then call me to address my concerns. I'm still waiting....And my sales person, I filled out his survey one day before I noticed the discrepancy in the paperwork. Have I heard from him again? No! Save yourself a huge headache and shop elsewhere.

Dishonest dealership

by Nurse2You on 08/14/2015

I read the reviews on other websites from previous dissatisfied customers with disbelief, since I had dealt with Hudiburg Nissan in the past. BUT please read this and be fair warned. I was involved in a automobile accident and had my vehicle towed to Hudiburg to diagnose the mechanical issues. I was told by the Asst Service Manager it was a sensor that went bad and 400.00 would fix my issue. Please note I had told the Asst Service Manager and State Farm Insurance I would not have the car repaired if there was any extensive mechanical issues. Since I was assured the sensor was my only problem mechanically my car was transferred to Hudiburg body shop. After working on my car for a week, I rec a call from Tom with the body shop who says "hey did you know your check engine light was on"? I explained that is why your service department had my vehicle for a week to fix the problem and I am sure hoping there is nothing serious wrong or I will be extremely upset. Note the body shop waited a week to call to notify me the light was on. Yes I confirmed with Tom the body shop representative that they took a picture of my dash when they rec my vehicle from service. So my vehicle goes back to service and was told the check engine light was related to the gas cap??? I told Marvin I sure hope the light does not come back on or I will be upset! I drove less than 30 miles and the light came back on. What is the problem now? Well it wasn't the gas cap I am now told it is the catalytic converters are out which would cost another 2500.00 to fix. So yes I am peeved about the dishonesty and dealing with this dealership. When I stressed to Marvin I could not believe they did not test drive my car I was told "we don't test drive cars which are in operable". I said "you fixed it"! I was told then we don't test drive the vehicles on the interstate. I said "your master mechanic just drove it down 89th and the light came back on". Yes I am a female but not a stupid one or one to be taken advantage of. I spoke with the General Manager today to share my disappointment and belief that the service department and body shop dropped the ball on my repairs. The general manager calls me back after his investigation to advise me "Marvin stated, when one check engine light was fixed another one came on". My response was "really I was only aware of the one code before it went to the body shop and now there were other codes". As I told the general manager I do not want to say someone is dishonest but come on I know what I was told and what actions were taken. The solution was for me to trade my car in because it wouldn't matter with the issues since they would take it to the auction. Really that is the solution. I truly pray this will prevent anyone else from getting the shaft at Hudiburg Nissan. This dealership deals in dishonesty.

Was skeptical - Nicely suprised

by barb71 on 02/13/2014

I was skeptical to see that Hudiburg Nissan was listed as a Premier Dealer (not for any reason other than they sell cars) in this site and I appreciate reading reviews about products and businesses as it helps me decide what products to buy and who to deal with. Buying a car is top on my most hate to do list, and I can say I have never been back to the same dealership or salesman in the years I have purchased cars (I am 50+ so I have purchased many cars). I was in the market for a car because mine was totaled in an accident. I had been looking at used cars to fit my budget of insurance money and what I could put together and had a list I wanted to look at. The one at Hudiburg, it was also a Nissan to replace the Nissan I had, was the top of my list and after looking at it for a couple of weeks (while I waited for the insurance settlement) it went up in price. The next day I did a "live Chat" with a sales rep and asked what the chances were if I liked the car if I could get the original advertised price. I was told if I came in the next day, looked, test drove, and decided I wanted it, they would honor the first price. I was skeptical and figured I would get there and there would be excuses as to why I had to pay more and was prepared to say OK, moving on to car #2. I drove it and liked it and they honored what I was told without blinking an eye. We then went to finance, which I figured was going to be another test of my patience since this was a cash transaction they were not going to make any money unless they sold me extras, again I was nicely surprised when they asked if I wanted an extended warranty (the car is still under factory warranty) and I said not at this time. She put the book away and said ok let me know if you change your mind. I wrote the check, she filled out all the papers and we were done. Thank you Papi and Paula for making this task such a pleasure. I can say when I need another car I will look there first, which will be a first for me.
