Don't like being lied to

Be very careful with how you ask for information especially if it has to do with cost. I was told I needed to change the spark plugs in my Town and Country, it was going to cost over $600 and that my 2 back tires should be replaced because they were worn out, roughly another $600. I told the service guy I would change the plugs myself and I would replace the tires another day because I just rotated the front to the back visa-versa. Obviously had an issue with and needed a front end alignment. I was told there was an $80 diagnostic fee, great I get it. I asked "if I have work done on the van the $80 comes off the cost of the work done correct?" I was told yes it would. Then I asked how much for a front end alignment was told $70 (approx). I told then to go ahead and do that then. It needed it because they told me the back tires were worn, the same tires had been on the front the day before. Anyway, when I show up to pick up the van I'm thinking they actually could actually owe me the difference between the $80 and the $70 + tax, figured they would just keep the difference anyway, but still should not have had to pay more then $80. WRONG! When I got there they told me I owed $170 dollars. When I questioned them about the cost they said "oh, no, the $80 diagnostics would not come off the price because there was a different technician that did the alignment" so I had to pay for both. Such bull, the service guy could have told me that when I asked him if the $80 came off work performed and was told yes. He knew I was not expecting to pay more then the $80 but didn't say anything so there was nothing I could do after the work was done. And why a different technician anyway, they diagnosed my front end alignment problem, should have been part of the $80 anyway. I have taken my car to this dealership for other issues in the past more then a few times but never again. Like I said I don't like being lied to or taken advantage of. So, if you decide to take your vehicle to this dealership be very precise in what you ask and make sure they tell you down to the penny what it will cost you other wise you may end up paying double due to some service guy wanting to make a few extra bucks. I will never go back again just because of that one crooked service guy.

Received a comment on this a couple days after posting, no surprise there actually was quicker than I thought. Of course it says how sorry they were and that their service manager would be in contact for further details. A month and a half later and still nothing. I go back to my original statements, I don't like being lied to but they insist, I guess they have enough business that one customer being upset and leaving just don't matter.
