Replace Rear Bumper Guard

Replacing a rear bumper gaurd sounded easy enough, but sometimes things don't always go as planned. There were a few hiccups that arose during the removal of the old bumper guard, and it ended up taking a little longer than originally expected. The glue from the original bumper guard just did not want to cooperate and in the process of the removal the paint was accidentally scratched. However, I was never inconvenienced or left out of the loop as to the status of my car. The service department was upfront and honest with me throughout the entire process, and instead of just touching up the scratch they brought my car to their paint shop and had the entire rear piece repainted and it matches perfectly. They also had no problem providing me with two loaner cars (I traded the first loaner in due to a personal preference). This seamingly easy swap of bumper guards may not have gone how either of us wanted it to, but life happens sometimes, and they handled it with great care and professionalism. A big thanks to the service manager John Miller and to his staff for caring about my car as much as I do! p.s. Despite all of the all the hrs (unseen or otherwise) that went into the replacement of the this accessory. I was never asked to pay nor was I charged for anything other than the bumper guard itself.

One thing after another

The truth is I was a little desperate and this was my first time purchasing a car for myself, so I understand ultimately the decision to purchase this vehicle was in the end my decision. I should have realized it when I was told that despite having at least 3 days notice, the dealership could not find time to even clean the vehicle; the salesman himself had to try to do a quick job before my arrival the day of the purchase. However, upon exiting the lot with my newly purchased used Mitsubishi, I quickly found out that the speedometer did not work correctly. The speedometer had shot up to 60 MPH and did not drop even when I stopped at a stoplight. Though I brought the car right back and explained my situation to the service desk, they told me to come back next week to have it looked at, meaning I would need to drive to Bowling Green and back not knowing my speed. The next point was that even though the salesman told me how to program the radio as he handed me my keys, the radio does not produce any sound whatsoever. Call it bad luck, but by the end of the week, my car wouldn't start and I came to find it went bad despite being under 3 years old and was forced to purchase a new one. Lastly, my title failed to ever reach me. Once again, perhaps this is no fault to Brown Mazda because they did have my correct address on file, but it did cause me an extra $16 to get a duplicate since I never received the original. I definitely will not be purchasing another car from this dealership due to this experience. I understand the sale of uncertified cars can be very difficult due to their as-is sale condition, but I am disappointed that things were not taken care of more thoroughly. The first being that my safety was not considered when I was allowed to purchase a car with a faulty speedometer without prior notice which could get me a ticket, if not put me in danger.

Dishonest & Poor Communication

We were in negotiations with Alex Jurgenson for a pre-owned Honda CRV. He told us the asking price was well over $16,000. We noticed that same night on the print out he gave us that their online web price was $15,321. When we asked Alex about it a couple days later he said it was "just lowered today". We came to a verbal agreement over the phone the next evening and were told "it's a deal", "he would tell his manager" and to "sign the paperwork tomorrow". The next morning Alex text us that his manager had sold it to someone else for the asking price. He said it was a "miscommunication". We are not impressed and will probably never do business with this dealership again and will definitely steer our family and friends away from it.

This place is so unprofessional. I've called four times and every time they would say I will call you back.. and guess what? They don't! They lost my credit app... I do not recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and go somewhere else! Horrible customer service!

Deceptive sales practices

I attempted to buy a used Ford Transit Connect from this dealership. Vehicle had an oil leak. I agreed to buy the vehicle if the oil leak was resolved. Salesperson said he took it into the service dept. and was told there was no leak, but engine oil had migrated from the engine oil filter area to transmission housing after a recent oil change. Oil was cleaned from transmission housing. We agreed on a sales price, financing was arranged & I returned to the dealership (an 80 mile drive) and again drove the vehicle for 5 miles and returned to dealership. Transmission oil was leaking from front of transmission. Salesman said they would sell the vehicle to me for the before agreed upon price, but would not repair the oil leak. I was lied to by the salesman about the existence of a leak. I did not purchase the vehicle and will never buy one from them. I also recommend other customers avoid this dealership like the plague.

Poor sales experience

I attempted to purchase a used Elantra. My salesperson was apathetic and deceptive. We agreed upon a price and it was okayed by the manager. When the paperwork was being completed, the price was changed to an extra $100. I refused to purchase the car; the salesperson would not agree to the earlier price and so I left. I emailed the dealership manager with this concern and never received a response. I will not do business with them again.

Horrible

Complete lack of interest in customer service - I was told I would get a call in an hour, I was never called. I called back salesperson said he had to check with manager and call me back - never called back. I was told 4 times to be expecting a call from the salesman and he never called me back once! Unprofessional dress attire - jeans, hiking boots and a Carhart type coat - are you kidding me? Not willing to negotiate. Rude. Unprofessional. Worst experience ever when trying to buy a car. I obviously bought elsewhere and suggest everyone do the same!

Great Buying Experience

I bought my first Hyundai last Fall 2006. It's a 2007 Santa Fe AWD Limited with Touring and Premium packages. I absolutely love the car. I made my initial contact with this dealership through the internet. We worked out pricing before I ever entered the showroom, prior to a test drive. After placing a deposit, the salesman and dealership worked hard to find the exact vehicle that I wanted (model, color, options). It took about a month before they found exactly what I was looking for. When we went to pick up our new Santa Fe, it was a wonderful experience. Just as good as when we picked up our new Lexus. There was no significant pressure to sell options (rust protection, extended warranty, etc.). We were given a thorough guided tour of the car and all it's features. We were shown around the service department and introduced to the Hyundai service manager. As with any car purchase, do your homework first. Know how much others are paying for the configuration you want. Know the invoice price and what rebates are available. Know the dealer holdback rate.
