Excellent Experience

We acquired a new 2018 KIA Sedona LX in April from KIA of Cerritos. We found the vehicle online through the Southern California KIA Dealership website. We found six particular offers and requested a quote including our trade-in. The dealership that had the car in their inventory was KIA of Cerritos. Making an appointment was made very easy by Octavio Santamaria an Internet Sales Consultant. He contacted me on Thursday, April 5th and we agreed to meet on Saturday morning. We walked into the extremely active dealership where we were greeted within a moment, Octavio answered his call and was present throughout the process. Octavio brought our future Sedona out and explained each and every feature and then we took a little drive. We were absolutely impressed by the new Sedona but more impressed with Octavio as he worked the numbers until they met our needs. And in our situation it was not an easy task. We went into to meet Andres Vidrio a Finance Manager for signatures and the closing numbers were actually better than the ones we agreed to. It was an excellent experience throughout the process, including finding us the best possible financing. Octavio and Andres are professionals that enjoy what they do and display the best of customer service skills. Five Stars!

untruthful dealership

I had contacted their internet sales department on a lease deal for a 2019 sorento. after coming to an agreement on the price, both the sales person and manager emailed me that they would make the deal happened, I drove 3 hours to get to this dealer. had to take time off work, had to take my kids with me on a long drive. once I get there, I asked for the sales person, who she said she will be there, the person up front said she is out today. I asked for the manager, I was told he is not available for at least a couple of hours. then another sales guy came up. I told him the story. he said the car you were told was just sold, even though I called right before I left and was told they have it and was on hold till I get there. spend 45 minutes driving through 3 of their lots to find another vehicle. eventually did. I told them the agreed price and that I had it in an email. he came back with another price wayyyyy higher than what we had agreed on. I tried to show them the emails, but they said " I don't care what the email says, this is the lowest I am going to go." I emailed the original sales person and manager and never got a response back from them. drove 3 hours back. waste of time at Cerritos Kia. very disrespectful and dishonest. will never deal or talk to them again. I have never seen so much dishonesty in all my life dealing with car dealers.

2016 Optima lx

It was a pleasure doing business with You in KIA motors. We are extremely happy with the car we had bought. KIA has been nothing but extremely helpful, communicative, and deaf friendly. We are hoping to do business with you again in the future. Lynette has done an amazing job and very patience woman. 7 hours is a long long time but it was worth it and we are happy. Kia Cerritos is AMAZING! Adam Palmer was so helpful. Even to the point of driving all the way to my house... twice! He and his manager (also Adam) made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Kia of Cerritos. And I LOVE me new Optima!!

No car, kidnapping instead

My wife and 17 year old son just had one of the worst experiences of their life. Asked to see Kia Forte 5 base model in different colors. A guy came out from the back and said "come with me". My wife asked "where are you going?" He said "we'll be right back". This [non-permissible content removed] drove our son 9 miles to another lot they have with more cars. Meanwhile my wife is wondering where they are, and no one can tell her. She texts our son, and he does not know where they are, but they keep in touch by text. FORTY-FIVE MINUTES later our son is back, with a couple [non-permissible content removed] from Kia with a car for him to test drive. My wife got me on the phone and we unloaded on the manager of the dealership. As far as I am concerned, they kidnapped our minor son. Even if he was an adult, at a car dealer with his mom and brother, what dealership in their right mind would take a customer for a joy ride without telling the customer and his party what the heck they were doing? I will never buy a Kia, and I will tell everyone I know to never buy a Kia. And That starts with you. DO NOT go to Kia of Cerritos if you don't want your child kidnapped. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.

Five Star Service

I had submitted an online inquiry about my possibly being interested in purchasing a new KIA. I was contacted by Connor right away and he asked if he could help me. I made arrangements to go to your dealership on Saturday. From the moment we met he was friendly, helpful and right away had models to show us that he thought I might like. I ended up getting the Soul and Connor made the process easy. He covered every point. Went thru features on the car and made me feel very comfortable with my selection. Can not say enough about the service we received from him. I will recommend your dealership and Connor without hesitation.

Yeah Buddy

Great staff and customer service provided by Feliziano at Kia Cerritos. He greeted me at enterance and offered assistance immediately. Although, I was uncertain of what I wanted, he was informative about different vehicles on the lot. My credit wasn't great but his manager and him worked out a deal that would work out for my budget. didn't imagine id drive off the lot in a 2016. I'm very glad I took my friend's advise on visiting this dealer. The finance department was exceptional. Thanks guys; especially Mr Soto and collegues for having our best interest at heart.

Save yourself the headache and come here first! :)

Had a great experience working with internet sales manager Mike Molles. He got me a great deal and was there every step of the way. I just wish we came her first. Our certified used Kia is safer, nicer, newer, and has a better warrantee than other makes we were looking at for a better price. I look forward to working with Mike again when our other car finally dies.

True Price

After presenting the sales guy with the True Car quote for $19,914 (2015 Optima Hybrid), he show us the the same version on a 2016. He assured us (my wife and I) that everything will be the same. After the test drive filing the credit application, we stared negotiating the terms of the loan (I thought the price was already set), he came back with some ridiculous monthly payments. When I insisted in that something was wrong, he came back multiple times with different figures. I was asking for the promotion that kia Advertise 60 months no interest. The sales guy and his manager told me a big story about the 0%, in order to get that, they need to used all the incentive that the car has to buy the 0% and if not then the price of the car need to be at MSRP ($27,000 or so). In conclusion, after wasting my time (about 3 hours), I walked away from that dealer and Never going to come back, they are [non-permissible content removed] and try to sell you something that you don't want. They promised the moon but delivery Nothing, I am surprised not seeing more negative reviews.

Kia sorento lease

I really liked my experience in the kia of Cerritos. They had a friendly staff. Especially Keyvan who helped me picking a car suitable for my needs. I ended up picking a Kia Sorento EX. Keyvan is the best. He is so professional and so helpful!

2016 Soul purchase

I just purchased a new '16 Soul through Cerritos Kia and with the exception of having to wait between steps it was very positive. We obtained the price through TrueCar and Cerritos was the cheapest by far. All in all very comfortable experience.

Adam is awesome! He stuck with us from the get go, making sure he worked out a deal that would be feasible financially for us. He never slowed down, his energy was always positive and he always came to check on us during the long wait to see how we were doing and keep us informed on what was going on. Granted the long wait was kind of a pain but turned out to be worth the wait, I went home in my very first "new car" Thank you Adam!

Kia of Internal Mis-communications

Kia of Cerritos promised competitive prices but delivered overpricing compared to other dealerships. The finance department made sure I signed off on the sales contract before presenting me with third part invoices indicating the vehicle had non-requested and undesired dealer installed items. They sold me a car on 8/2/2015 it is now 8/11/2015 and they have yet to provide me with my spare key. The first couple of days they claimed to be searching for it, when this phantom key did not turn up, they had me come in after they ordered a new one. But wait after three hours of waiting in the service dept. it turned out they only ordered the remote, not the metal key part of the uhhhmmm key??? As if they had the right to be mad at me, they sent me home with little explanation and nothing for the inconvenience. I get home to find my spare remote in one of my cupholders just one of the many instances of "miss-communications" had I not noticed the key and had it gotten lost they would have blamed it on me. I'm a first generation Kia customer, though I have yet to see where the car stands on reliability, if my experience thus far is any indication of what I have to look forward to, I am beyond worried that I made a mistake by not going with a Honda or Toyota. Kia corporate if your happen to read this take note of the voice of the American market you are trying to capture. The cars you are working so hard to make a name for are being overshadowed by mediocre customer service, desperate attempts at just that one sale, without desire of retaining a potentially lifelong, repeat customer.

Disappointed!

We made an appointment with a sales person to buy a car that we had researched and found the car in the color we wanted with a good price based on the price promise. We were looking forward to finally buying our car for our daughter, who is in college.We had researched this car for over 1 month. When we arrived the sales man we had an appointment with was off( he had notified us the day before and told us the name of his co-worker who would be helping us). We arrived and the salesperson we had an appointment with was busy with another customer although we had an appointment with him. Another sales person came out and assisted us and she wanted to show us another car because the one we had requested was on another lot 20 minutes away! We decline to see the other car because we have seen several in the past month and knew already what we wanted so we waited. So they brought the car and we began to proceed with the paperwork. First they did not honor the price promise. They listed the starting MSRP about $3000 over from what the actual sticker MSRP said and the online MSRP for that car and tried to trick us into thinking we were saving so much from the new MSRP they had just written.Second when I decided to finance at a lower percent they deducted the incentive and added about $420 over that price. She deducted the $420 when I brought this to her attention but hesitated and tried to explain this but couldn't, so she had no other option. In addition, they added things to the price such as dealer prep fees,etching fee ,mud guards and a spare tire. All these fees are extra and the dealer prep fee of $595 is a scam! The mud guards, which I didn't ask for and was told I had to pay for because they were already on the car were priced over $240 although are listed on the actual KIA web site for $95 for all four! The spare tire priced at $299 by the dealer I researched it and should not be more than $100! The etching is an added security measure and if not requested should not be paid for. The kit can be purchased for $25 a $200 + mark up at the dealer. The dealer prep fee I researched and it is a total scam! "If a new car dealer insists that you must pay a dealer prep fee on your new car, it is a scam. Get up and leave, go to the next dealer. If the dealership participates in this scam, just imagine all the other ones that they will try to pull on you. Make sure you know the steps to buy a car to avoid any scams." Furthermore, the manufacturer pays the dealer to prep the car and if you look it is listed on the window sticker, why were they charging us a $595 fee? When we refused to pay this they said they would cut it in half as if they were doing us a favor! Just knowing how deceitful they were and thinking we would fall for it and the time we were made to waste and the fact that they thought we didn't know any better upset us. We are honest people and we were ready to purchase this car, now we will go through my employer's fleet manager program and hopefully we will have a better experience.
