Easiest vehicle purchase ever

onI recently bought a new Wrangler at Autonation with Michael ("Cody") Montague. He listened to what I wanted, worked with me to find a suitable vehicle, and never pressured me in a direction I didn't want to go. They even offered more for my tradein than I expected. Ultimately, I needed to get a special order, which arrived a couple of months earlier than expected, and Michael kept me informed about progress along the way. I'm very happy with how smoothly everything went, and with getting exactly what I wanted.

Quick and friendly

onOf the new cars I have purchased Autonation was pretty fast. No deal is super fast due to the nature of the sale. I love my new Willys. I can recommend this dealership. On the downside: It took a very long time for the manufacturer to build and send our custom order.

onSales is wonderful. Isaiah did an excellent job. The guy in the finance was abusive and unprofessional. I come from a family of dealers and have spent quite a bit of time in car dealerships, I completely understand the sales side of lending. If anyone behaved like this in any dealership I was a part of they would not be there long. Combative, offensive, rude, insecure.

Friendly staff and great service

onMy service representative, Jacleen was very knowledgeable and helpful. The service took longer than expected due to damaged replacement parts but they kept me in the loop and Jacleen was very responsive to me. Overall pleased and will continue to go back!

Shady Business Practices & Poor Management

onI have taken my multiple Jeeps to this specific dealer over the past 13 years for various things. I called the main service desk number at this location and scheduled a diagnostics for 2 issues. I asked what the cost would be and was told $225. I arrived and upon pulling into the garage two vehicles pulled in right behind me. The service people greeted the last customer to arrive (nearest their desk). No one greeted me, so I walked in and waited. Once I checked in with the service person, she told me that since I had two things being diagnosed the cost was $220 for each diagnostic. I was surprised. After she finished explaining how it works and the cost can be rolled into the repair I told her that I was quoted a different price for diagnostics. She gave me a blank look and said, "Well I don't know who told you that but it's not right." We went back and forth about how I feel like I am being bated and switched and she had no clue what I was talking about. I asked if she could pull up my schedule record to see who scheduled it. The answer was no. I said, "Look, can you understand how I feel like I am getting screwed because I took time off from work to come on your schedule and was told $225 and now that I am here it's now $440, like what am I going to do, just walk out after being this committed?" She was still clueless. So I said, "Okay, these fees can roll into the repairs, can you give me any idea or range of what the repair costs might be?" She said, "No." I said, "Come on, service guy #1 just said it's extremely likely this one thing since it happens to pretty much this specific model, just give me the cost of doing that repair so I have some idea." She and service guy #2 said, "No, that would take like 1.5 hours to figure out the cost." I said, "Seriously?!" Service guy #1 went and looked up the cost in 30 seconds and said, "We just did one 2 days ago and it was $550". I thanked him and turned to the other two service people and said, "That's all I am looking for and now that I have some idea that my diagnostic fee is less than the likely repair this won't be such a big deal since I will repair the vehicle." Silence. I moved on to how long it takes to diagnose. She said 24-48 business hours and since it's Thursday at 10am it will likely be Monday when I get it back. Seriously?! 3 business days to give me a diagnostics. I was expecting with luck Thursday evening and worst case Friday evening because that's always been my experience for 23 years. I said, "Okay, let's start the work, but I want to talk to a manager." I eventually talked to a manager and explained this exact situation and asked him if he could understand why I was upset by this experience. He looked at me and said, "No, this is how it works..." and went into explaining why it works this way. I interrupted him and asked, "Can you put yourself in my shoes for a moment". He was unable to. I tried to give him an analogy of calling into a computer place with the same setup: 2 issues, diagnosis, 1 fee, walk in to get a different price, and it's your only computer so 4-5 days turnaround when you know from history that it's same or next day. Light bulbs went off and he was sympathetic but offered nothing for my terrible experience to this point. I asked, "Who is the guy with all the knowledge, Service Guy #2?" He laughed and said that's the newest member. I said, "Well he's your best employee, he knows how to deal with customers." I am going to another mechanic and will never use them again for anything that can be done elsewhere. Where did the customer service go?

AVOID AUTO NATION!

onAVOID THIS DEALERSHIP!!! The buying process was super smooth, because they're nice until they have a signed contract and your money. Then they conveniently inform you that the vehicle has only been on the lot for less than 24 hours and needs to pass a safety inspection before you can take the vehicle.I'm not sure why a car was listed to sell that hasn't passed a safety inspection first. I was told I would have it the next week. They had my car for almost 3 weeks!! I was told that I still needed to bring it back because they were waiting on a part (a plastic cover for the driver side fog light cover that was cracked). Fast forward a month into having the car I noticed that the inside of my brand new front tires were worn down to wire! I had to pay $700 for new tire to ensure my kids had a safe vehicle to ride in. I called the dealership and informed them, I was instructed to bring it in. I waited for 2 hours for them to tell me that they can't do anything because there is damage to control arm and it passed the safety inspection and they can'y prove that I didn't hit something to cause that damage. Offaly ironic that there is damage to the control arm on the same side they had to replace a cracked fog light cover. I will be canceling my warranty through them to have my car worked on somewhere I can trust because this place is a scam! I will tell everyone I know to avoid Auto Nation.

Love my vehicle- hate the service department

onIf it wasn’t for the love of my vehicle, I wouldn’t go back to this dealership or service center. For one specific issue, I have had to return my vehicle 6 times this year. Each time the solution did not work, or the parts were not in stock. This dealership/service department seems clueless and the capacity of which they turnover customers causes the experience to be that much worse.

Dishonest Dealership

onSalesman stated Jeep had a 1-year/30K warranty. After I agreed to purchase, I was told that the warranty did not apply. Because of pressing need for a vehicle, I purchased it. I told sales/finance I was on a tight timeline. Because I am out of state, they had to send paperwork to a local notary. After finance told me that the notary was busy and holding things up, I found he had falsely stated when he sent the paperwork. The manager later tried to blame Navsign for the delay. When we were told the vehicle was finally ready, it had not been washed. We waited for the car wash, only to find the Jeep was still dirty.

onThe experience was OK. It took a little longer than I expected but the rep was courteous and did everything I asked him to do. Only thing I didn't like was the customer lounge was noisy with many folks talking on their phones. I was pleased the dealership would work with the warranty program I had purchased with the car.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY - THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE!

onI won't bore you all with the details but please, unless you specifically have to visit this service department for warranty purposes, save yourself the stress and go elsewhere. The service department is a complete joke. Appointments don't mean a thing, they simply get you in the "queue" to wait weeks following your actual appointment. We received an estimate based on what the tech "thought the issues might be" and then were asked to pay a diagnostics fee by the service advisor after the tech specifically told us he was not able to diagnose the car yet. I asked to speak with a manager and our service advisor laughed and said the managers come in late, take 2 hour lunches and leave early. They are fraudulent, rude and could not care less about you or your vehicle. Seriously, save yourself.
