Limited Financing Knowledge

I love Hyundai vehicles. I chose this dealership because it appeared from my location that it was the only one, or at least, the closest. My initial experience was overall neither impressed, nor appalled, however, I did not care for being passed back and forth repeatedly between two salesmen as one became busy with another customer. When I was presented with a payment that was higher than I had previously stated that I was willing to make, I was a little unhappy, but I understand that this is the nature of the business so I asked to explore the option of a less expensive car so that the payment could be within my range. I was asked to accompany the salesman to search the lot for the Accent model, but when I did, he wound in and out of the cars so quickly as if he were upset and I nearly had to jog to keep up. He also couldn't find any left of the Accent model. The sales people all seemed pretty uptight and under pressure, which I don't care for. One of my two sales people had a paper sign hung up in his cubicle that said "Make 40 contacts a day" along with a couple of other goals he must attain daily, I assume, to keep his job. But the real issue that I had with Red McComb is that once we found a vehicle that we agreed upon for the right price that the Finance Manager believed he/she (couldn't see the Finance Manager behind the closed back door) could obtain, I was told to go ahead and drive the Hyundai home because it was late and the banks were closed. I was told I could come back to finalize the paperwork. I was called the next day and told that they could not finance the Hyundai for me because my trade-in was in my ex-husband's name, which they knew in advance before I chose a car and they didn't believe would be an issue. I took the Hyundai back to Red McComb's in San Antonio and waited about 45 minutes for one of my salesmen to come tell me that I could now transfer my personal belongings back into my trade-in. I did so and proceeded to look up other Hyundai dealerships that may be available in San Antonio that I previously overlooked. I found World Car Huyndai and gave them a call from Red McComb's lot. I explained to World Car over the phone the experience I had with Red McComb's and they asked me to come over because they believed they could help me out. They certainly did. I drove home in the exact same year, make, model, and color of Hyundai for a better price, with the trade-in that Red McComb's could not accommodate. The service I received at World Car Hyundai (especially after the nightmare at RM) was remarkable, courteous, and transparent. Thank you World Car Hyundai for making a positive impact on my life and future. As for Red McComb's? I would highly recommend they explore some new avenues for engaging and broadening the knowledge-base of their Finance staff. And maybe if their Finance staff could see their customers face-to-face, they might be able to find it in themselves to do some research and explore options they hadn't considered before in order to accommodate a customer's finance needs. All that was needed in my situation was for a power of attorney form to be sent to my ex-husband so he could sign it. With that, the bank could sign over the title for the trade-in to complete the sale.

They brought me the car!

I visited the dealership on a weekend and was immediately sold on the Equus after it was demonstrated to me. This dealership had everything ready for me to sign and actually brought me the car. Ask for Anthony. He actually really enjoyed showing off all the features on this incredible value. I can now count on valet service. This is the happiest auto purchase experience my wife and I have ever had!
