Bait and switch

Called told vehicle was there made appointment specifically said 1 hour 45 min away said ok if vehicle not there the next day at 9:00am would call contact us. Got there told sold last night at 9:30. Never tried to call us before we traveled and never provided $25 gift card to help pay part of gas and tolls. Tried to switch us to another car much older and poor condition and more $$$! False advertising and general manager was in on it! Stay away!

Do not go to this dealership

My boyfriend and I walked into this dealership about 15 mins before closing (8:45pm) I was approached by a salesperson by the name of Mike. The first thing he said to me was "what's up" I looked at my boyfriend puzzled as to why he would greet anyone in this manner professionally. I responded and said well I'm here to look for a car, that's what's up. We go inside he brings around a 2016 honda civic touring and I asked for a 2017. He tells me well it's the same car. By this time I was extremely annoyed and so was my boyfriend(he was trying his hardest not to check this dude) I viewed the car and I had to drive in the LOT. that's not a test drive! I went inside and we were talking numbers. before we went to the car I forgot to mention that he approached me and said "will you buy the car tonight?" I said "what??? I haven't seen a car yet so how am I suppose to know?" ok fast forward...we were talking the price of the car. I know Hondas are expensive and they don't budge much on price but he was extremely nasty and responded to me "we'll dude you're looking at the wrong car" that was it for me. I excused myself and left. he tried to call me a few times after that and only came down on price 2 hundred dollars. when I told him I found a 17 for 2500.00 cheaper than he was trying to sell the 16 for, he laughed and said yea I can't believe that. I then ended the convo and told him that I will be buying my cat elsewhere. So that's exactly what I did. In fact, I bought the 2017 honda civic touring that was cheaper than Mike quoted me. I recommend going to Mike piazza honda in Langhorne and ask for Gary! he's the only person I would send a customer to. he's nice easy to work with and will get you in the car that you want. I'm going to go past Sloane to show them my car and let them know they lost a customer

Poor Sales Staff

My fiancé and I walk in to see if Sloane can offer us a deal on an Accord Sedan EX-L model. There was no need to test drive the vehicle as I had already done so at another dealership.We met with a salesman by the name of James and he fetched an accord from the lot to show us the interior, etc. Long story short, the numbers that they offered were nowhere near what I intended to spend. James then goes to talk to his finance manager to see if there is anything that they could do. Another gentleman walks over by the name of Jim....he's the sales manager. He asks us what we were paying for our current vehicle (Accord Coupe) and what are budget was. He said he was confident that they would be able to work something out. A few days pass and I receive a generic "thank you for coming" email from both James and Jim. A week later, I get nothing, so I decide to email them both to see where we were at. A couple days later, I get a phone call from another salesman (name is escaping me) stating that he is taking over my account because James is no longer employed with the company. I tell him that the sales manager, Jim, was trying to work out a deal for me and that he should talk to him first before reaching out to me again. I then get a call from another salesman named Larry saying that he is now taking over my account because the former salesman didn't know the "arrangement" or something to that effect. Ok, I speak to Larry and tell him what had transpired thus far. He said he read the notes and that he will "rework" the numbers to land me a deal. I said that I was interested in the '16 model as the '17 models are already out, so I should get a better deal in my opinion as the dealerships are trying to clear their '16 inventory. Larry said that he would work the numbers on both the '16 and '17 models and that he would call me back the following day with those numbers. Ok...5 days later, I get nothing, so I decide to email Jim, the sales manager that Larry stated that he would call me back 4 days ago, but never did. I receive a reply from Jim apologizing and that he would make sure Larry calls me that night. I receive no such phone and as of today, 6 days later...I have not heard from anyone from that dealership! This dealership has an excellent service staff but their sales staff has lost the art of communication. Why should I have to follow up several times to purchase a car? Do they not want my business....A CURRENT HONDA CUSTOMER? Horrible experience! I would not recommend this dealership at all!

We purchased a new HR-V from Sloane and every part of the experience was great. Chris met us, answered all our questions, took us for a test drive, and made the experience of purchasing the car very easy, including a trade-in. Kudos to these guys (including Larry and also Jim in the finance department) for doing such a nice job from start to finish. It's not the first time I've done business here for good reason.

We were served with the worst example of professionalism and integrity. THERE IS NO SUCH DISRESPECTFUL TO THEIR CUSTOMERS PLACE LIKE SLOANE! My husband and I are loyal customers of Sloane Honda Autos. In the past, we had a great experience when we bought our Honda Odyssey 2011 from the Sloane Honda dealership located at 9903 Bustleton Avenue in Philadelphia. When we decided we wanted to buy our next car, a Honda Pilot, our first stop was the dealership we already trust. As in the past, we received the great service from the senior sales representative Larry Welsh. Unfortunately, the car, in the exact color we wanted was not in stock, so we decided to wait until it became available at this dealership rather than spending time checking other dealerships for the exact car they promised to deliver. Together, we agreed on a price for the new car, as well as, a price for the car we were trading in. For trade in was our Acura MDX 2013 which the manager Jim Stratton evaluated and gave us a trade in price of $27,000. All conditions had been written and we left the deposit. We waited for our car for 5 weeks, in which the sales person did a great job to keep us updated. As soon as our car arrived, yesterday 08/18/2015, we came back to Sloane to close the deal. After we checked our car and completed all the necessary applications, much to our dismay, the same manager Jim Stratton returned with our paperwork and claimed that he had made a mistake with the trade-in price and could only offer us $17,000 in comparison to the $27,000 that we were told originally. We were very shocked by this news, and left very disappointed. As compensation he offered to return our deposit, rather than trying to figure out a different deal. It felt as though, at this point, he was just trying to get rid of us as soon as possible. As a result, we did not purchase the car and we refuse to ever go back to the Sloane dealership in the future. I feel prompted to share this ugly experience everywhere and inform as many people as possible. It is disconcerting that the great sales person, Larry Welsh, who did such an excellent job, lost his sale, because his manager failed to take responsibility. The dealership will eventually sell the car they ordered for us and most likely management will be rewarded for a “job well done”. As it is written on their site: “As longtime leaders in the automotive, business, and local communities, the staff and management of Sloane Automotive Group continually prides themselves on serving your present and future needs with the highest amount of professionalism and integrity. Let us demonstrate to you that when buying a car in the Philadelphia area, THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE SLOANE!” Sorry, but I have to say it’s a lie. We were served with the worst example of professionalism and integrity. And THERE IS NO PLACE AS DISRESPECTFUL TO THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE SLOANE!

Igor was very helpful with evaluation of options for our transportation needs and ultimately focusing at the vehicle we purchased. Igor has a very friendly personality and treated us with respect. We feel that we got a great deal with this transaction. We are repeat customers at Sloane Honda, and Igor assisted us this time and in the past. Due to the current and past experiences in buying cars with Igor we will absolutely return to Sloane Honda and Igor for our future vehicle needs.

Ripped off.

I went into Sloane Honda on October 18 to purchase a Honda Pilot. I recommend the Honda Pilot, great car, but I do not recommend Sloane Honda. I was ripped off by sales manager Rob Thompson in typical car salesman fashion. I walked in with an e-price certificate from edmund.com, which offered reduced financing on 60 months at 1.9%. I plan on retiring in five years, and that's when I want to pay off the car. From the moment I walked in with the certificate, every person I spoke with tried to convince me that the certificate does not offer the best deal, and that they can give me a better deal. For 4 hours they worked me over, constantly pushing for this other deal that was for 63 months. They kept saying that it's only 3 extra months, but it's cheaper in the long term! I finally said fine, I trust you, give me the deal you think is best. Big mistake, don't trust car salesmen, and definitely not Rob Thompson! You see, when they added the three months, they jacked up the interest rate from the 1.9% I walked in with, to 4.58%.

I worked with the service manager, Mark and Tim B in service on a minor warranty issue. I'm picky, there was a problem in my eyes and that was good enough for them. Honda rejected their work request and they guided me to contacting them and what/how to say what I wanted. Honda contacted them and approved the work which they performed perfectly the first time. To boot, they tossed in a tire rotation and oil change while it was up on the lift. When they called to tell me it was done and they did those things no charge I came in with a dozen donuts...it's the least I could do. I have a feeling I'd be buying a lot of donuts, but lets face it...it's a honda, I'm not going to see them that often!

I too dealt with Igor. I was referred to him by a friend after I mentioned I was about to buy an Accord. I was happy w/my deal, I worked it hard at multiple dealerships. In fact, Sloane wasn't even in the top 3 for internet quotes! I contacted Igor, told him what I was going to buy, and that I was not going to give him my best price or a 2nd chance. Over the phone he confirmed he had the exact trim/color Accord I wanted and beat my best deal by $700! I thought he was pulling my leg. Long story short I was there within the hour, the car was detailed and pulle up out front. I drove it and he of course asked me to buy. I said, honestly, you gave me the best price out of the chute, but I feel the need to negotiate...Can I have a hundred bucks? He laughed, handed me a couple business cards and said "done, tell your friends". He's been there for many years, I don't recall how many, but it's obvious why. I will definately return and have done my best to refer people to Igor and Sloane...after all it is Sloane that enables him to do what he does, many dealers simply won't do a "skinny deal" as it's referred to in the industry. I don't think I could have done better (asked for $200 maybe lol!).

Watch For Service Ripoff

Took my car in for service May 8th after the mechanic I have been going to for 30 years could not correct a TPMS problem. I received a call hours later telling me all 4 tire sensors were bad and needed replacing. I called my mechanic and was informed 2 of the sensors were replaced in October 2012 when the problem started. He further stated the sensors were purchased from Sloane and had a one year gaurantee. I called Ian (or Ethan) back telling him I would pay for the installation of all 4 sensors but would only pay for 2 sensors since 2 were still under warranty. He said he would "have to look into it" and call me back. 2 hours later he called back telling me miraculously now only one sensor needed replacing. Naturally it was not one of the sensors installed in October.The one sensor and programing cost over $200. If I hadn't questioned the original call I guess I would have been ripped off to the tune of almost $700. A few days later I received a survey. I included the above information. About 7 weeks ago I received an email from Mr. V reminding me of additional service I needed. I did not include the details from my visit but replied I would never set foot in his dealership again. I never got a response from the survey or email. About a month ago I posted a review on dealerrater.com. Again they did not respond although all of the positive reviews were acknowledged by a Sloane customer representative the day after they were posted. It's obvious they do not want deal with you after they get caught trying to rip you off. Insult has been added to injury. On Sunday June 23 the TPMS light went on and off a couple of times. It went back on again on June 25th and is still on. I have ZERO confidence in Sloane and deciding what my next move will be.

Sloane Honda's Great Pricing

I went to 6 different Honda dealers and asked them to email me their bottom-line best price for my new 2013 Honda Accord and their best price for my trade-in on my 2007 Honda Civic..Soime of the dealers were ridiculous and became very indignant when I bought from Sloane..They stated: "we would have matched their price", but that's not what I asked them. I asked them to give me their best price, not a price I got from another dealer...Sloane was the best price for my 2007 trade-in and the best price for my 2013 Accord and they gave me locking lugs, floor mats and free oil changes and state inspection..

From start to finish, Sloane Honda treated me with respect and genuinely appreciated my business. They "shopped around" for the best trade-in for my old car. There was NO haggling over the price of the new Accord. Surprisingly, the online quote was the best price I could find. The best part of this experience was my dealings with the Finance Manager. Matt L (finance manager) was absolutely AWESOME! He really worked hard to find me the best interest rates and recommended several finance options. In my experience, the closing paperwork is the most stressful part when buying a new car. However, Matt made it very simple and explained everything in great detail. He really focused on what I needed versus what would get him the most commission. Hands down, Sloane Honda is a top-notch dealership who respects and appreciates their customers. Saw a used 2004 dodge ram on sloanes website I called and setup a time to see the truck. I ended up buying the truck, and am happy. Only issue was my mechanic told me the truck needed new driver side ball joints (upper and lower), and should have never been sold without being fixed (safety reasons) I called sloane and they replaced both ball joints under warranty. 3 months later truck still running strong. Anthony D - bought a 2004 blue dodge ram in April.
