the only good thing about this whole situation was the fact that I got towed, but since I have signed up for triple A and will not be using your service ever again. The service person I worked with informed me that I needed a whole new rear end on my vehicle and the rear differential had went out and it was going to cost me $2000 for the part and $1100 for labor for a total of $3100. As you can imagine I was shocked by this, my car only has $77,000 miles on it and I do not do any rock climbing with it, so a whole new rear end was shocking to me. I made the decision to have it towed somewhere else for a second opinion, they had my car for a few days and came back and said they were able to fix my car for about $100! I was so thankful and feel so upset that ken garff just wanted to rip me off by not repairing anything just replacing! needless to say I will never take my car back there again. On top of it all I had to pay Ken Garff $75 for a FALSE diagnosis
Horrible Experience. Found a 2014 Dodge Ram that we liked. Sales Agent James told my husband he would work with us on the price because they have a company policy to sell trucks within 60 days or they go to auction. It had been 40+ days and they could not sell this truck because it could not pass emissions (something about having to get 100 hours on the computers to pass. We live in a city that does not require emissions). Anyways, my husband brought me back to test drive. We liked it and wanted to purchase. This was on Saturday. They worked the numbers and got us the payment we could afford. Went back to sign with the finance rep. Total Failure! They did nothing with the price of the truck like they said they would but got us approved at an 84 month lease term instead to make the payment work. Then, I asked what bank they got us approved through and he tells me that he hasn't chosen one yet but works with banks all over to get us the best deal. Telling me that the payment may or may not go up. There is a sliding scale so if it goes higher than what we said we could afford but stays within the range in their contact, we are still responsible for the contract. Anyways, we walked out of the office and asked them to call us on Monday morning when they knew for sure what the payment would be. We would rather sign knowing for sure we could afford it than not. Finance called me at 910am on Monday morning that they got the financing approved for a lower payment than we thought. Then text my husband saying we had 20 minutes to take it because they had another offer from Idaho. My husband responded asking if it was at an 84 month lease or 72 month. He responded 84 and then responded again saying "We just took the deposit. Its gone. Sorry BRO." Are you serious?? WE SPENT 3 HOURS WAITING FOR YOU ON SATURDAY TO GET THINGS TOGETHER. You give us 20 minutes on a Monday morning and sell it to someone else! Highly disappointed in this dealership and the way they do business. I will never go to another Ken Garff dealership again and will take my business somewhere else. Very unprofessional. Further more, having to sit in the lobby working on numbers and seeing sales agents play with each others boobs in front of me (yes, both male) was disgusting! Very unprofessional. I would suggest going to someone else that values your business and treats you better.
Fast, Efficient, Friendly
We were greeted promptly upon arrival. Our needs were immediately taken care of. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The work was completed sooner than noted. That is a great thing. Always take my vehicle here for service.
I took my car for an oil change and was still waiting after two hour and then I found out my car had been in the lot finished for over an hour. The next day I drove the car and it said the tire system needed service so I drove clear back and the check in person just laughed and said oh, I guess they forgot to clear the system when they rotated your tires. Very frustrating!
I have been going to Ken Garff for years thinking I was being taken care of by their service department. I recently went in because my check engine light came on. I was told I needed a new engine over $8000 for a 07 Acadia because I had a dead cylinder. I got a 2nd opinion from Farmington Service & Towing and man I'm glad I did. All it needed new spark plugs & coils. I went back to Ken Garff and they where shock because this was diagnosed by their best tech? I have to say these guys have my business for life! After speaking with the regional head of service, he assured me that they are honest and that the tech made a mistake. He went on to say he had known the tech for years and when he approached him to tell him he went gray on the face. He then said that he immediately change the equipment used to run tests on my car. After speaking with my brother in law who works for Questsar, he said there is just no way to run the test wrong and he works on a fleet of 250 + GMC vehicles with the same engine. To me the sales manager was feeding me a line. I won't trust any Ken Garff dealership again. In addition to all this is was transferred to sales and oh guess what they tried to sell me a car and take my perfect fine Acadia on a $6,000 trade in? Be very careful with Ken Garff, even if it just warranty work.
After purchasing a 2015 GMC 2500HD truck from Ken Garff, I also purchased a set of towing mirrors from them to be installed by them. The first trip to have them installed resulted in a broken piece in the door they needed to order a part for. The second trip scheduled by them resulted in them telling me they were mistaken, the part wasn't in after all. While I was in for a routine oil change I had them check the turn signals in the mirrors as they had quit working. After 4 hours the service writer came to tell me the intial installation had used the wrong parts and they would have to order the correct parts. Another wasted trip, requiring another day away from work as I lived 180 miles away. I have recieved no response each time I have tried to discuss this with them. I did not expect this kind of experience from any dealer, certainly not one in business as long as Ken Garff GMC
Great oil change
The oil change was fantastic got it done really fast. The cleaning of the car was not very good you could still see dirt on the car and wipe marks. I don't know if they wipe the inside out or not but that wasn't even touched.. I have had other places change my oil and they do a great job inside and out...
We have a local GMC dealer, but have been unhappy with the service department. We changed to Ken Garff GMC and have been very happy with their service department. We are glad to drive 300 miles to be treated well.
Had great experience at Ken Garff GMC. Very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. Traded in my 07 truck. The whole experience was great. Salesman knowledgeable about my truck. Offered me drinks. Financing was easy. Would recommend them to anyone.
Stay away from the service department
I had the intake manifold leak *fixed* by this company and drove my 2003 Le Sabre back to Phoenix. I still had trouble with the car so I took it to Liberty Buick in Peoria AZ and they had to redo the job because of inferior work done at Ken Garf in Riverdale UT. Parts were missing, gaskets not sealed correctly, the list goes on and on. Liberty Buick took pictures of all the sub-par work done at Ken Garf UT.
Great people and great service!
Great service! They took care of my recall and service appointment in the same morning and even detailed my truck at no cost.
Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, patient and informative. They took time to understand our situation and worked with us to make sure we were satisfied and happy. We would definitely go back!
