Avoid Motor Village LA Service at ALL COSTS!!
Avoid this dealer and service center - Think at least 5x if you're going to purchase a Dodge/Jeep if you live in LA. Few service options and this place IS The Worst!! I took in our Jeep, still under warranty, with a bad oil sensor (simple part and simple fix). With an appointment, we waited for more than 1 hour just to drop the Jeep off. They didn't even look at the Jeep for almost 2 days! Then told me the part was not in and they would need to order it. Would not be ready for 4 days minimum! It's such a simple and common part, I hung up with Rene, the service Rep, and call their own Parts Dept. Guess what!? They had the part in stock! And for $50 they'd put it in Will Call for me! I called Rene and he told him what I found out and he was Un-phased, Said it didn't matter, they still wouldn't be able to get to the Jeep until at least 4 days. Unbelievable! After a very heated discussion on the phone, the best I got was that he'd talk to the service manager but said it would not change anything. Please Please Please, don't give them your business, they don't deserve it and you don't deserve this kind of frustration! Know what you're in for when you have to bring your Dodge or Jeep in for Service. Buckle up!
Worst of the Worst
I have been doing business with Motor Village when it was run by a truly professional General Manager by the name of Mike Bell. Mike Bell. using good business judgment having been introduced to me by the owners as not only a potential good customer, but one who has since referred several friends who purchased or leased vehicles from them. Mile Bell and his past staff always afforded me superior and professional service. Since they have changed their upper management to another GM who has managed to run this store into the ground. The service department which was really great has become a joke. Customer service is a thing of the past. If not for one particular employee by the name of Suey, the service department would be much worse than it already is. This young lady keeps it all together as best she can. I was invited by the new GM after a heated conversation to "[non-permissible content removed] AND TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE" which I have. There are way to many places to purchase and service my Chrysler than this now improperly managed dealership. I reported this matter to the owners who did absolutely less than nothing about the issue. Perhaps Chrysler may be interested, however I have no more time to waste on this nonsense.
Got my 2015 Dodge Durango Limited
Got our new 2015 Dodge Durango!!! Great customer service overall. Andrea Clark help us out on every step. she explained every detail regarding car and the whole car buying process. I would recommend family and friends to give Andrea a call and get to Motor Village.
Begging all consumers not to use this dealership. They lied to me to get me into leasing a new car with them. I am now stuck with a $4000 bill due to their lying. I will never purchase from them again nor will I allow my family and friends. They are using illegal sales tactics. Shame on you Motor LA!
Best dealership I have ever been to! Very professional and they work to meet your needs!
New car in a new State!
Walter and Peyton are excellent. We arrived as agreed to buy a Wrangler Jeep for our son as he has moved to Santa Monica for work. The guys organised everything so that we were out in under two hours with the exact car we had hoped for. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys . A1 service - thank you gentlemen.
Horrible service, Waiting on the telephone for over 10 minutes, transferred to 3 different department. Walter in Sales called me back, said I was rude, not a customer. When I advise for his manager, he told me his manager does not have time for me, his manager time was too valuable, and hung up. Wow, this is the service that Walter in Sales and the dealership dispenses to potential customers, then they need to close their doors.
Excellent customer service by Linda T. and staff
My review is as much about saleswoman Linda T. as it is about Motor Village LA. Sometimes these experiences come down to getting the right person in sales, someone who understands the value in communication, responsiveness, and service. Linda T. is that person. She is full of energy, communicates every step of the process, thrives on details, and even chased down a UPS truck to make sure I got the paperwork on time. Mine was a difficult situation, and Linda stuck with it until I flew in and picked up a beautiful 2014 Jeep Cherokee. She took the time to make sure everything went well, and and even followed up to make sure I was doing ok with the vehicle on my long drive north. Of course, she didn't do it alone, there is obviously an experienced group of people at the dealership who know what they are doing. I'd encourage anyone to give Linda a call, and if it's possible, she'll make sure you have a great experience throughout the purchasing process. Thanks Linda!
I love my new fiat!
I bought my first car here and was not disappointed! Peyton B. is the bomb! Customer service was on point and made sure I left the lot completely happy and comfortable.
Was it me?
I've never had a dealer actually go out of their way to not sell me a $50,000+ car before. After a test drive and agreeing on a price which was confirmed multiple times in writing via email, this dealer told me they had located the vehicle I wanted and they would have it within a day or two. Over a week later, and after multiple phone calls and emails to the dealer I still did not have the car and I could barely get a response or update from them. I finally discovered that they were trying to obtain my car from a dealer in Lancaster. I proceeded to contact the other dealer directly who informed me that they had sold that specific vehicle two days prior. I then called Motor Village LA back and inform them of this, and they simply responded that this happens all of the time and were not even apologetic about it, nor did they take a proactive approach to finding me another similar car. I then said I would prefer to simply factory order the vehicle from them and that I didn't mind waiting for delivery just to make things easy and complete the process. I told them I would come in at any time and put the deposit down but after three or four more days with no return phone call or email from them, I finally gave up and purchased the car from another dealer in Huntington Beach. Not only was the dealer in Huntington Beach easy to work with an extremely responsive and helpful, they also had much lower pricing. Based on my experience, I would not waste your time dealing with Motor Village LA. They clearly aren't motivated and don't understand what customer service means.
Motor Village LA
I have bought a fair number of vehicles in my life yet I have never had a dealership work so hard to meet our needs as Motor Village LA. Linda T., our salesperson, had non-stop energy and was relentless at finding us the best truck. We had a specific type of RAM truck in-mind so the whole process involved the Trade Department, Internet Director, General Sales Manager and the Finance Department, we got a pretty good overview of the dealership. At every step I found the employees responsive and respectful. I had also done quite a bit of truck research and had shopped in almost every state west of Texas, I got the best buy at Motor Village LA. I also had researched my financing options and was pre-approved by another lending company, Motor Village beat my pre-approved loan by a substantial margin. I flew down from Medford, Oregon to close the deal with faith that the dealership would stand by their word; they surpassed my high expectations. If you are in the market for a vehicle I would highly recommend Motor Village LA and would name request Linda T.
Chrysler Affiliate Rewards Program
FIAT LA refused to honor the Chrysler Affiliate Rewards Program on the 500e. The official Affiliate Rewards program rules clearly state that the 500e has been eligible since 6/24/2013. While the sales and finance staff were truly a pleasure to work with, as a dealership, I would steer one to shop elsewhere.
I am very hard to impress and this dealership blew my socks off! I dealt with Linda and she handled all my questions and concerns from the very first email and phone call. I have to admit, I shopped around for my Durango, but these guys were the most professional and efficient sales team I have dealt with in all my years of buying cars. I was a little reluctant to drive to Downtown LA (it is downtown after all!) but I am glad I did! Parking was easy and their facility is amazing. They were able to locate the Citadel I wanted and was able to get me a very fair price and great financing. It was definitely worth the drive out from the South Bay and they will have my business for years to come!
Why I will never use this dealership again, EVER.
My family purchased a Fiat from this dealership a couple of months ago and it has been the worst car buying experience E-V-E-R. There has been problem after problem. First we needed the car shipped out of state to arrive by a certain date (for our use). The salesman guaranteed that if we paid them to handle it (more than going to a car shipping company directly), it would be there for sure. Not only did the car not arrive on time, but I found out after continual follow up and investigation that it had never been shipped in the first place. The salesman kept saying that it was on its way and that there were various issues that the shipping company which were causing the delay, but this was a complete lie. We were also never issued a temporary registration and were pulled over for not having any temporary tags a couple of times. I have been trying to get the required paperwork from the dealership so that we can file for registration to no avail for over 3 weeks now. I will NEVER EVER EVER use this dealership again...EVER. And I urge others to go somewhere else to purchase a car.
My car V-8 Charger RT was missing second key FOB and manual. The order was placed immediately and I was notified as soon as it came in. There was a second step to cut the emergency key for the FOB. It was done quickly on site. The staff there in the service departments and parts counter is courteous and gets the job done.
Go there but be ready for a shootout!
I can't speak for all the salesmen but some of them treat you like an uninformed buyer and just plain ignorant. Who is going to buy a base Charger SE for 33k! Deal with Johh, Sergio for sales but the manager to look for is Roger. These people have a better sense of customer service and treat the customer with respect. Make shure you look over vehicle carefully and negotiate the price if things aren't right. Once you sign the papers and leave you are toast! The service department is outstanding and takes care of business. Hope this helps. Like I said the experience will depend of the sales associate and manager. Just be ready and know your stuff... if you not happy walk away...plenty of other dealers LAX
Stay Away!. Went in over the weekend to purchase a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I am a Jeep enthusiast, know the product well, and previously owned a Jeep for 10 years. I was treated as if I knew nothing about the car buying process by the sales/fleet manager named "Bronco" once we started talking about price. The initial salesman (not the sales manager) was nice, however mentioned that "God is good and would want to see you in this vehicle for this price." Really? I responded with " If God wanted me to buy this car, he would give it to me for (insert my offer here) and want me to give the rest to charity." Bringing religion in is NOT a tactful business approach at all. What if my personal religious affiliation was opposed to his? Who talks about God during a business transaction??!?! The offer price that "God" gave me was insulting (about $350 above what Rubicons go for, and for a period of 84 months, which means, I could have purchased an additional vehicle at the same time!). When I told them what I was willing to pay per month, the fleet manager laughed at me, and asked "And what math did you use to get at that price?" Well, the math I used came from the dealership website itself. They would not break down how they arrived at their price; would not even tell me the financing rate. Not to mention, the vehicle they were trying to sell me was not the color I wanted. The fleet manager "Bronco" was condescending, and gave me an attitude about getting the car I wanted in a different color. He told me that it wouldn't be worth it for him or the dealership to get a vehicle transferred in from another dealer - they wouldn't make any money off of the sale. Sorry, but I'm buying a car for myself, and could care less about how much money your poorly run dealership makes off of me. Also, the day before they had previously told me getting the vehicle I wanted in the color I wanted wouldn't be any trouble at all. At Motor Village, I was told my trade in was worth much less than it actually was (which I knew because I had gotten a trade in quote prior to going there). Their behavior and the way I was treated (I don't want to go down the "I was treated this way because I'm a woman road." but seriously, they are [non-permissible content removed]) is just unacceptable. They recently went under new management, per the initial salesman. Well, new management, what ever you are doing drove this customer away. The very next day, I went to a different dealer and was treated with respect, and was acknowledged for being an educated consumer. I ended up with the exact vehicle I wanted, at the exact price I was hoping for. The trade in value for my old car was $3000 more than what Motor Village initially quoted, and the monthly payment I ended up with was $350 less than what Motor Village initially offered, and for a significantly shorter financing period - 72 months, and not 84 months. Altogether, a difference of over $15,000 during the life of the car loan! The new dealer, Glen E Thomas Dodge in Signal Hill (near Long Beach), was completely transparent with the purchasing and finance process. Each staff member I interacted with were respectful and joyful. At every point during my time spent there, my questions were addressed promptly and accurately - all answers related to pricing involved showing me the specific math breakdown for how figures were arrived at. Stay away from Motor Village LA! They are deceptive from the get-go, and have zero sense of customer service or tact. And I say that with confidence - had they been polite and acknowledged that I was an informed consumer, they would have had a sale. Actually, no, they would not have had a sale - that comment about God was just plain inappropriate. Save your time, dignity, and most importantly save your money - don't go to Motor Village LA!
I had been in the market for a new Grand Cherokee for the last month and was lost. The internet department at Motor Village responded to my request for information within a few minutes and provided a hassle free experience. They answered any questions I had and guided me through the process before even coming in. By the time I was ready to come in, they had the car waiting for me and I was in and out in about an hour. Their service department looks great as well and I feel confident about taking my new Grand Cherokee there in the future.
