Shady Sales Tactics
by SPFLANAGAN on 09/10/2017Super shady sales tactics. I talked to the sales manager, John, to confirm the price of a car before packing my wife and two toddlers in the car for a 30 minute drive. After test driving the car and going inside to agree on financing I… noticed the monthly payments on the contract didn't align to the agreed price. When I asked why, they then pointed to a few "mandatory dealer add-ons" they listed in fine print under the price that was published online and on the contract (paint protection, anti-theft window etching, and all weather mats). This added about $2,000 to the agreed upon price. I generally would expect a car salesman to try and upsell additional features, but to be blantantly lied to is pretty low. I'll be sharing my experience with family, friends, and co-workers. I would recommend steering clear of Honda of Kenosha.Scammed on a used car
by nateshore1988 on 03/18/2017They had a used car I've been looking for. Car had a flat tire and a vibration/squealing noise from the wheel during the test drive. They brought it back and they fixed the tire claiming thats all the issue was. I liked it and decided to… buy the car. With the vibration and squealing noise in mind, I asked Magda, the finance manger, if there were any issues with the car, if they would take care of it. She confirmed yes they would, they were not just going to sell you a car and walk away from it. Fast forward a week and the vibration and noise gets worse and starts grinding, I take it back and they do an inspection claiming that the tires are bad and causing the issue. The sales manager and I go for a road test and notice a vibration, which he then tells me is no big deal, its just a tire vibration. After me threatening to withhold my final bit of my down payment, they agree to cover the tires, which was nice of them, and told me the car was safe and good to go. I purchased the tires, made an appointment, left work early and waited 50 minutes only for them to tell me they cant change the tires for me, because their tool was broken. Fine, I go to another shop and have to pay double what I should have after hours because the shop was closing. I get the tires replaced and they start wearing badly on the outer edge, so I take the car to a different shop to get an alignment done, and they tell me the grinding noise is a bad left rear wheel bearing. I bring the car back to Honda, and the car manager, John Downs, tells me he wont be covering this because the money they gave me for my tires, took food out of his kids mouth and proceeds to break down how many and how old his kids are giving me a sob story.. He tells me he lost money on selling me the car because they gave too big of a trade in to the previous owner, so I need to take owner ship of my car and pay for the repairs myself, even though I brought it back 4 days after buying it because of this issue. I continue trying to plead my case that this was my original complaint when I brought it back 4 days after purchase, and John keeps telling me he cant remember what was done 3 months ago even though there's an invoice in their system and I need to take owner ship of my car. Bottom line, They're really nice people when you walk in looking to buy a car, but after it leaves the lot, your own with it. You cant even get people to return your calls after 2 days of voice mails, you have to ask the receptionist to go track those people down. And now i'm stuck with there auto butler and add on dealer stuff, which they stated they wont refund or cancel, that I cant even use because I cant trust them to work on my vehicle.Typical Dealership
by runner55 on 01/05/2017Compared to doing the repair yourself or bringing to an individual repair shop, the Dealership cost is not justifiable. As is the case with all dealership service departments, the service writer gets a percentage commission for completed… repair work, resulting in recommending unneeded service and diagnostics, and attempts to talk above your automotive knowledge base to convince you to do it. Every Honda Kenosha repair gets a mandatory extra $65 "environmental charge" tacked on to the final bill. I was promised I would receive all the old parts after they diagnosed an additional problem, I received no parts at all, and the service writer present upon pick up could answer no questions since he was not the original writer. I always ask for the old parts on the rare occasion I pay a pro to do the work. According to Rights and Rules under Chapter ATCP 132 Wisconsin,"... a customer is entitled to inspect or receive any components, parts, or accessories replaced or removed by the shop." They violated this law. The repair work that they did seems satisfactory so far, was done in a timely manner and we were offered a free loaner car.Exceptional
by kniggekm on 08/31/2016I worked with Joe Kish in the servicing of my Pilot. Joe did an exceptional job explaining what the issue was and the work that needed to be done. He went the extra mile to determine that the work covered under my warranty. He called me… with regular updates on the status of the repairs and made sure that the work was done on time. He made me feel like I was an important customer. I look forward to working with Joe again the next time I need service.Honda is usually excellent in its Customer Service

They are able to get me in quickly, provide good service, communicate effectively, and make sure what needs doing gets done. by Kissacat on 08/04/2016updated 08/16/2016I love Honda of Kenosha and travel out of my way to make sure my CRV is serviced there. I enjoy working with Tim DeLord, he's funny, knowledgable and polite. What I don't like is that I almost always have to clean dirty, oily shoe prints… from the inside of the car. Other than that, the service is exceptional.Poor Customer Service Unprofessional
by unhappy144 on 08/12/20161/05/2016 I purchased a used 2006 Honda Odyssey from Honda of Kenosha. With this purchase, I also bought a warranty from Warranty Solutions. In March 2016, I received a letter from Warranty Solutions stating my warranty had been cancelled.… I called Warranty Solutions to find out why and the lady I spoke with looked into and stated Joe Nowakowski, from the dealership (Honda Of Kenosha), cancelled it and that I should call him. After talking with Joe N, I was under the assumption that the warranty was good to go. On Friday 8/05/2016 my vehicle broke down on me. I called the 1-866-number for the roadside assistance and gave them my account number for the warranty. They informed me that my vehicle was not covered under warranty, so I called Honda of Kenosha to talk with Joe regarding this issue again. After multiple phone calls and voicemails I finally talked to Magda Vogel about this and was told it was fixed. After being without a car for almost 2 days, finally Saturday afternoon I talked with the sales guy who originally sold me the car. I told him what was going on and was told to come and get a loaner until the warranty issue was fixed. Right after I got off the phone I headed to the dealership. Once I got there, Amy Dressen, from the service department, told me I would have to wait until they could diagnose the problem before I can even get a loaner. I informed her I needed to be to work and she stated in a very rude and unprofessional manner "Well, if you would have answered your phone, you would have known your vehicle just arrived and we would need to look at it first." Mind you that is not what the sales guy had told me over the phone. After an hour of waiting they finally gave me loaner car, and I was on my way, but I was also an hour late to work by this time, and on top of it I got an occurrence because of my late arrival. All in all, I have received horrible service from Honda of Kenosha. The only person at Honda of Kenosha that was willing to help me out was the sales guy, Thank you D'Eyvan. Joe Nowakowski, who had made the initial mistake months ago, did not even have the decency to return any of my phone calls. This is not only very unprofessional but also makes the dealership look like they dont care. It took me having to call multiple times, leaving multiple messages, and still not getting an answer as to why I did not have warranty still. Then it took almost 9 hours for someone from dealership to even call me back. First off, this was a mistake from a worker at Honda of Kenosha (not my mistake) Secondly I have been paying for a warranty that I didnt even have. Where is the money that I have paid for this warranty that I did not have for the last 6 months? I am so appalled to have been treated the way I did from Honda of Kenosha. In the future, I will not be using Honda of Kenosha. I will be using other dealerships when purchasing other vehicles, as well as any maintenance that is needed on my current vehicle. I wish other customers a better experience than what I had received.Air Conditioning issue
by gene3916 on 07/12/2016updated 08/11/2016I came in with a quote from a mechanic I often use, with a description of the issue. His estimate was somewhere between $45 - $90, depending upon how log it took to locate and blow out the evaporator drain, and empty the reservoir. Boyland… did it for about $65, and could do it the next day versus next week - that worked for me.Pilot Air Issue
by mmaroulis on 07/01/2016Honda of Kenosha did a great job getting me a loaner car while they worked on my car. Job was done on time.Pathetic Shop
by SMukherjee on 06/20/2016Very Poor and Horrible Experience. SAYING "PERMANENT NO" to " HONDA OF KENOSHA"!! I recently got a traded in vehicle on some way forced to go for and I got a very poor details while selling and buying a new vehicle. On the new vehicle I… almost paid $3500 more compared to other dealers near by(got quotes via edmunds). I will not prefer any more honda car or if I do I will prefer not to shop at Honda Of Kenosha! Not even for Oil change or tier rotation of for any other purposes. No one attends the call if you dial them, thats another challenge. Tried reaching out the floor manager Roy Lacey to find an amicable solution as I do not run any business to earn hefty profits, but he does not attend any call / left voice mails, but he does not attend. After a hard try when I mailed and put up a comment that I will try for a Customer Forum complaint, then he suggested me to go with further movement. I also brought such thing to the notice of "Honda America" filing a compliant and got it registered. Not sure what they will do but I will definitely take it as a point of concern. Guys in shop are not helpful at all. To my understanding they have a rythm that they are a better speaker than others but they know much better calculation than us, prbably which is not true. Overall experience is very poor. Thoughts to others: When you want to purchase then only visit shop/hang around for a car or else you may get a pressure of buying a car and find difficulty to say NO to them. And finally if you are given a quote be careful and first check in "edmunds" and tell them the quote. Do not go for buying and instead say NO and immediately come out!! Moreover behavior of Mr Roy Lacey was not at all amicable. May be that's the typical "Business Model" runs in the floor!service

by Minivand on 03/21/2016Great service at Honda of Kenosha. This is the only Honda service center I will ever go to.unsatisfied with interior cleaning and service
by ricpereira on 02/09/2016updated 02/26/2016we scheduled a 30K service costing $300+ along with interior detailing and auto butler. the van was there over 8 hours, insane. the interior was not cleaned well at all, crumbs still in cup holders and not vacuumed well at all. there was… still dust on the dash, nothing was wiped down, etc. in addition, the washer fluid was not refilled. I am wondering if the 30K service was even done given the poor job that was done on everything else. we are very unhappy with the experience.Fast service done right!
by DennyBell on 01/18/2016The service rep was congenial and very helpful. I am very happy with the personnel and treatment at this dealership.Glad I went
by Meljay65 on 01/09/2016I'm glad I brought my car in for service. They did an excellent job with the Auto Butler system; my car was cleaned well and on time. Additionally, the oil service and tire rotation service was done economically. Also, the waiting room… was comfortable with access to the internet.auto butler

by GrandmaK1 on 10/20/2015The service rep reviewed past service and recommended brake work the next time I come in. I have never had a problem with my Pilot because of the proper maintenance done thanks to Honda of Kenosha.Honda of Kenosha cares
by LDA53168 on 10/08/2015This dealership goes above and beyond to make sure that the customers are happy and taken good care of! The employees are happy to assist the customer and this shows that the dealership cares about their employees as well! I was there to… have the evap system replaced and not all the parts were included in the order. They gave me a ride home so that I did not have to wait there, then came back to pick me up. They apologized for the "inconvenience", meanwhile, taking care of the situation and making sure that I was happy with everything that they did for me. Everybody that I came in contact with was extremely professional and extremely nice to me! Honda of Kenosha cares, and you can see this as soon as you enter the building! Thank you for this opportunity to explain my wonderful experience!Excellent
by Chermckin1215 on 09/19/2015I had excellent service and was treated very well with respect and was told along the way what was going on was very happy
