Great selection, but watch out for added fees

I liked the fact that the selection of newer, lower mile cars within my price range was substantial compared to other dealers (this is the second time in the last ten years that a Larson dealer has gained my business from another particular group of dealers due to price vs selection).

Looking for my first car

I was in trying to figure out what kind of car i want to get. I had done research online which told me Toyota's last longer. But i didn't understand the difference between a camry and corrola and regular vs hybrid. So a sales guy, chuck milligane (idk spelling) was really nice and funny and able to explain the differences so that i could understand, which helped because i am someone with no prior knowledge of cars, i had went to other dealers and left more confused. When im ready to buy my car i want chuck.

Chuck, at Toyota of Tacoma, was not only the first salesman to respond, he also offered the best price and had exactly what I wanted. It was a good experience and I love my new car.

My husband and I recently purchased a 2017 Highlander XLE. Sam Long, our sales person at Toyota of Tacoma, was accommodating, knowledgeable, and patient with us as we looked at several vehicles on more than one occasion. After we purchased the vehicle, Sam followed up with a phone call to see if we had any questions or needed any troubleshooting help. I would recommend Sam Long to help with your car buying needs. Cal (?) in Finance was a pleasure to work with. He answered our questions, and was very personable. We did not feel pressured to buy additional packages, but he did inform us of what was available to us so that we could determine what was best for our needs. Overall, we are very satisfied with the service we received from Sam Long and Cal at Toyota of Tacoma and would recommend their services to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.

Got Ripped off

Hello, recently I purchased a brand new truck from Toyota in Tacoma, Larson Automotive. And Got ripped off!!! I request white exterior with black exterior leather, but they didn't have in stock so they told me they would get it for me tomorrow and I signed the papers and bought the car. Without actually seeing the car. With extra $15k in car upgrades/warranty/maintenance. The next day I was unable to pick up the car so I had my relatives pick up the car. When they picked up the car I was unaware the it car had different interior color, only after they send me the pictures of the car. So the next day my relatives brought the car back but they didn't take it. I asked Arsen Hazbiu (he sold me the car), why it's not black (like it was promised) he said it doesn't come with black interior, when I told him that I will complain, he's first response was, that "its my word versus he's word". So lying to customer just to make a sale ?! So on 11/29/16 they promised white on black truck and the next day that version of the car is not even available. Again, I was not informed me that the vehicle would be different interior. Otherwise I would never bought the car. With extra $15k+tax in car upgrades/warranty/maintenance, thats being installed on the car that I don't want. Total $62526.63 I told them I don't want the truck with this interior but they refuse it to take it back. So I'm stuck with a truck that I hate and because of the mistake that the dealership made. I'm asking for Christmas gift of getting rid of the truck. And they give me back in cash of $5,000 of the deposit that I put down on.

Bought myself a Prius from Toyota of Tacoma. Melissa McCallister was my salesperson and she was amazing! The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful as well. I wish I could give more than a 5 star rating. This dealership deserves it. David, Dana, Trevor & the whole Toyota of Tacoma team, Thank you!!! This dealership went above and beyond for my family. Recently in and in and out of the hospital and battling organ involvement having Scleroderama and SLE Lupus my husband and I were in such great hands with them. While hospitalized just this week again this team took care of us and did all the work while we were in the hospital. They handled everything! My husband nor I had to stress over anything while there financial department and sales team went to work, We went to them because our medical bills had piled high and we could no longer afford our SUV do to the cost of medical bills, chemocare, and not to mention our 5 expensive children. I believe that the lord sent us in there direction for a reason. They got my family in a car affordable on gas, and a perfect size for us. This team never stopped. And they worked hard to make sure we drove out of there lot with a new car and at the payments we needed and could afford. No back and forth bargaining, we told them what we cold afford and they didn't even hesitate. There goal was not to make any commission off us, there goal was to help us. And that is exactly what they did. Thank you so much from the bottom of my family's hearts. All 7 of us! Your kindness is beyond anything we have ever received. I had been to several dealers looking for a newish car to replace my '96. I was looking for a comfortable vehicle in a color I could live with. The salesman, Sam Long, was very good helping me to select a vehicle that suited me. Instead of my original intent to buy a pre-owned, I fell in love with a 2015 Corolla. The salesman, finance guy, and manager were all very accommodating in making financial arrangements that suited my needs. I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to friends or family.

Fraudulent business, trap distance customers

Let me start with saying the most disgusted business personnel and salesmanship I have ever experienced in my entire life... In my opinion, simply they are conducting fraudulent business. We traveled there and felt like ripped off. The 2014.5 Camry was offered over phone for $20,500 by David B. While preparing the process, the price he was dealing with was $23,650. Meanwhile the car was sold in our back without any information while we were preparing documents. Had a lot of trouble, he promised that he will match the price for another car in the morning, so we stayed in the hotel (we traveled from Tri-cities). In the morning, the store manager (the guy in the profile picture) was extremely rude, and didn't care anything about what we say. He does not care whatever price we were offered over phone. He is one of the nonsense manager I have ever seen. Just Luckily we ended up purchasing the car from Toyota of Bellevue, a whole new and impressive experience of buying a car from ToB. I wish I could sue the Toyota of Tacoma (Larson Toyota). Greedy and low class people [non-permissible content removed].

We love our new Camry!

Fun experience buying our new Camry! Go straight to David C. He was genuine, polite, great sense of humor. Look for the redhead. : ) I'm sure there are plenty of good sales people there, but I only interacted with David C. and D.J., the finance manager. Oh, and a nice sales person who let me use his desk phone, as I had left my cell at home, and needed to reach my daughter's school. We were seated in cool little reclining (a bit) office chairs, given Starbucks coffee. David was soooo KNOWLEDGEABLE. I don't think we had one question he could not answer instantly and in detail. That gave me a lot of confidence in him. Total pleasure. We drove home a beautiful car for a great price. We will go back again.

I purchased a Used 2010 Toyota Venza While on Vacation from Idaho from this Dealership on June 7th 2014. To this day they cannot and will not produce the Title to the State of Idaho DMV so I may License my car to Drive it. As it Stands, it's Still sitting in my Driveway over 11 days after I purchased the car and I still may NOT drive my car. When asked to deal with it for over 11 days now, calling the Sales Person (DREW), the F&I Person (LISA) and then the First Customer Service person and then the Second (Machon M.) in the Service Department, I have only received Lip Service! My Car still sits in my driveway unable to be driven, Complete Incompetence! So much for Purchasing a Car to Drive! IF You have a Job and Want to Keep it by Getting to work to pay for the Car, I recommend You Purchase Your Car Else where. I Still have a $21,000.00 Paper Weight, Good Luck out There!

The dealership manager and his salesman, Bobby L., bent over backwards to get me what I wanted in vehicle type, & color in the time frame I needed. They were extremely helpful, professional, and accommodating. If I were to buy another new vehicle, I would certainly go back to them.

Very deceptive people. Never buy car from this place

These guys are very deceptive people. They only care about making maximum profit. They dont have any customer loyalty. I was cheated on the price of the car. They said I would pay certain amount but in the paper they put different price for the price of the car. If one trick doesnt work, they have 100 other tricks to make you pay more. There is a guy named trevor r. s.n, who does the final sales paperwork. This is where they have their main play. That guy is [non-permissible content removed]. He will have you add all the extra things that you dont need and hide the true price of the car. If you have anybody come with you, he will not allow your friend to sit with you when you are doing the final paperwork with him saying for the the privacy reason. But there is no single privacy stuffs you have to do when you do the final paper. That is just his way to avoid your friend or anybody catch him fooling you in doing the paperwork. I recommend never buy from this place. If you had to buy from this for any reason, check every single paper work if the amount is right and what all you are purchasing with the vehicle. Make sure they also sign and date where required. Be careful wherever dealer you buy your vehicle from.

I'd buy there again

Appears they work in sales teams---I got passed between two guys, one whom I could relate to, one I couldn't. Andrew (that I related to) did follow-up work with his manager to lower the price and call me back. I actually bought but then had buyer's remorse when I found out I'd bought over the NADA value and another dealer I'd been at had offered me a more expensive nicer car at a somewhat higher price, but after 2 hours of awful negotiation, I had gotten down to $1400 BELOW NADA price. Turns out the car I did buy from Larsen didn't pass my mechanic's inspection so, although covered by the warrantly and Larson glad to fix it, I had (per the Attorney General's office) some legal recourse to nix the sale. I tried to exploit this by asking for a few more concessions. Went back and ended up with the guy I couldn't relate to and ended up marching out angry, then the salesman found me out back transferring items out of the new car to my old pickup. Wouldn't leave me alone & eventually we got in a squabble about whether I was going to keep the keys or leave them in the car. I blew up & a friend helped me calm down and I called in an apology. Called a couple of times the next day & late in the day the General Manager (or maybe, one of the General Managers) Tom T. called and appeared very straightforward, wasn't going with the amount of concessions I suggested, but told me clearly what he could and couldn't offer. I decided to keep the car given the concessions. Went back today (this time with a friend who could drive a 2nd vehicle back) and then GM assigned Andrew to fix me up with my concessions. He was very pleasant, helpful & expedient. I have a service appointment as well to fix the warranty work and put on a towing harness, bar & hitch.

Toyota Of Tacoma Great Costco Sales

I purchased my truck through the Costco Auto Program. They put me in contact with Larson Toyota Of Tacoma. My initial contact was via e-mail. The salesman asked basic questions for what I was looking for. I had already done a lot of research and already knew what model, options and color I wanted. I had a basic idea of the cost thanks to edmunds.com TMV pricing. The dealership did not have that in stock, but did a dealer locate, found the truck. The price came in just about what I expected with the Costco Auto Program pricing. I was impressed, that they didn't waste my time trying to sell me something in stock, or try to jack the price up. I was given the opportunity to take a test drive on a like vehicle. I expected to have to wait a while to have the truck delivered but it was only a day and they had it. When the truck was delivered the salesman covered every aspect on the truck before delivery.

Deceptive, Unprofessional

This dealership tried to get me to sign a credit application when it was entirely unnecessary: I had already financed the car elsewhere. The sales floor employee and manager both stated the paperwork needed to be filled out for homeland security reasons. The paperwork given had nothing referring to this in the contract and so I refused to sign. This paperwork did, however, allow authorization to run my credit. When called out both the salesman and manager claimed ignorance which is no excuse. This move reeked to me of deception so I walked and am glad I did. I expect honesty, integrity, and professionalism from anybody I do business with and got poor readings from all three metrics at this dealership. Read up on dealer tactics in your research and I think you'll find some interesting information that parallels what was happening in the story above. Read anything they ask you to sign carefully if you decide to stay. I think anybody familiar with the internet and comment systems in the year 2009 can see that there are some suspicious buddy-buddy reviews above and below...

Great staff, good selection

I have purchsed my last four new cars from Toyota of Tacoma- a Scion and three Camrys. After several poor experiences with other local dealers, I am very happy to have discovered Toyota of Tacoma. All of my visits here- sales and service- have been positive experiences, but I must particularly single out the sales associates who worked with me on my most recent sales- Aaron Johnson and Jayson Bridges. It is hard to get the feeling of being pampered when you are buying a car and trying to make a good deal, but Aaron and Jayson will treat you with courtesy, answer questions and admit it when they don't know an answer, and they know when to let you have time to yourself in the process. Toyota of Tacoma has a very good selection of models. Except when I bought a hybrid, I have always found the car I want on their lot on the day I wanted it. Even with the hybrid, they had the car with the options I wanted to me in 10 days. I want my new cars well taken care of and so I am inclined to bring them to a dealer service department. Bringing the car back for service (or a rare repair) is a better experience when you feel good about the way you were treated during the purchase.Toyota of Tacoma offers the complete package- good selection, a great staff, and quality service.

Larson is a Terrific Dealership

Car purchases can be more trouble than a root canal but at Larson Toyota in Tacoma I had a remarkable and enjoyable experience. Jack Wheeler my sales rep (if Jack's busy ask for Tom Todak the sales manager) was very patient with my questions and used email to keep me informed. Gave me a great deal and was very honest about the car's cost. I really had a blast and am very happy to recommend this dealership. They "walk the talk" of customer service and customer care. I will definately buy a car from Larson Toyota in the future and you should too!
