Worst dealer ever

byBrockWilliamson 11/29/2016

Horrible Dealership!!!!!!!! Bought a used BMW from these guys and drove it home to the Tri-Cities, parked it in my driveway overnight and the next day it had two nice big puddles of oil under it, one from the rear main seal and one from the power steering pump, they said that it was my problem because those leaks probably developed during my 260 mile drive, i call B.S. and they won't stand behind this vehicle and fix the problems, SO BUYER BEWARE this dealer is HORRIBLE and you will end up getting pumped in the rear if you buy a vehicle from them, YOUVE BEEN WARNED

Excellent Service!

bypiakamimuraon 11/07/2016

I have been a customer of Magic Toyota for years... in fact, it is the only dealership I am a patron of. My most recent trade in & purchase was handled by Chris Heinz, who was knowledgeable and professional. My family is very happy with our new Prius!

Satisfied with experience

I felt I got a Rav4 hybrid for a fair price and the trade in value of my used car was also fair. The buying experience was straight forward and I am very happy with my new car.

This is how car buying should be!

byLauraCMon 04/16/2016

I chose Magic Toyota on the recommendation of a friend and I was not at all disappointed. I was initially skeptical about how I would be treated as a woman buying a new car, but those concerns were quickly resolved. Working on my new car lease with Christopher Heinz was completely painless! I felt as if I was working with a trusted friend who sincerely had my best interest at heart. Who knew that could happen at a car dealership? It was clear the entire team enjoyed working together and that they were collectively motivated to ensure I was happy and comfortable with my purchase. The focus on customer satisfaction and individualized service was evident from the first email communication to the on-site test drive to the follow up communication. I love my new car and I am completely happy with the sales experience at Magic Toyota. Particular kudos to Christopher for taking such good care of me and my family!

Check CAR FAX before driving off the lot! AND INSPECT EVERYTHING!

byJared_Son 01/19/2016

This was my first dealer experience and I wish I would have done more research. The Toyota Certified program sounded like an excellent choice for me. I wanted the comfort of knowing I was about to purchase a "like-new" vehicle that had passed what is supposedly a "rigorous" 160-point inspection. After your typical rush-you-through the process sale, I purchased a 2013 Corolla S with Certified warranty. There was ZERO negotiation on the price. I know this is typical, but I ended up paying more than another Toyota dealer would have charged for the same vehicle. There was no walk through of features on the vehicle, and when I was inspecting the exterior of the vehicle I felt as though my sales rep was trying to keep me from seeing blemishes or flaws by diverting my attention. After purchasing the vehicle, I have had two major concerns. The first one is backed by the vehicles Car Fax report, which stated the car came with floor mats installed by Magic before listing for sale. I expected the mats in the vehicle when I picked it up, but they were missing. I had to call and ask for floor mats, which I was told normally weren't included, but argued that the Car Fax had it listed. I did end up getting mats ordered for me, although my Sales Rep, Ron has never returned phone calls. I had to catch him when he was there and available. I had to drive 30 miles to pick them up only to find out at home they were the WRONG MATS! Assuming they would order the new mats, I called to let them know what happened. The parts rep had to transfer my call to a Sales Manager in order to confirm that I would get the correct mats. The poor level of customer service has left me amazed! The floor mats I was originally given do not fit the hooks on the drivers side. My safety was not enough to simply say "sorry sir, we will get the RIGHT mats for you". Every call has been a battle to prove myself. The second major problem involves the "rigorous" 160 point inspection, which DOES include all interior parts and mechanisms. However, my drivers seat is not functioning properly. The seat "clicks" when I hit the brakes or accelerate. The sliders for the seat adjustment seem to be the cause, but this certainly should have been noticed in the vehicle inspection (if it is as rigorous as claimed). The worst part, which prompted this review, is that this is supposedly NOT covered under the Certified warranty. When I took it to the local Everett Toyota dealer, they told me I needed to get it back to MAGIC within the 30 days I bought it because the vehicle warranty won't cover it. I have a scheduled service visit, but with a Certified purchase, I should not be returning to the shop after only owning the car 20 days. I am left feeling as though I just spent too much money on a car that was labeled "Certified" after a quick walk through and drive around the block. That's what it feels like at least.

Magic has at least one decent salesman..

byThe_Spyon 12/22/2015

Christopher Heinz is one of the more straightforward sales persons in the business that I've run across. I spent some time in the car sales industry back in the day, and I know some of the tricks. Chris was a great listener, very straight forward, understood AND RESPECTED what I needed to happen to get me into the car I wanted. There were no arguments about what I needed, just straight talk. Example: His offer. Me, I can't do this, I need THIS to get into the car. Him, next offer. Me: No, it really has to be THIS way. Him, next offer. Me, I think we're close, let's try to get closer. Of course he ok'd each offer with the sales manager between tries. There were no threats, no over the top sales dramatics, just an honest attempt by him (and by extension the dealership) to get me into the car I wanted, and he succeeded in getting us close enough to a deal for me to feel comfortable leaving in my new wife's xmas present. Do I feel like I could have forced a better deal? Maybe. Do I feel like I was shafted? Not at all. There has to be meat left on the bone for both sides to reach a fair deal, which is something people purchasing any big ticket item needs to understand going in. This was my first time dealing with Magic Toyota, and I think it probably won't be my last, as long as they employ reasonable businessmen like Chris Heinz.

Complete waste of time

bysmeg4brainson 10/02/2015

These guys spent 5+ hours pretending like they were going to accept our offer, only to try to raise the price on us by $1200 in the last minute. We walked out, and will never return. I suggest to anyone else that they don't bother going there in the first place. I didn't have that 5 hours to just waste like that, and I'm never getting them back! Neither did my wife!

Wouldn't waste your time

by2015tacoma1on 09/09/2015

They do have a nice new building and that’s where it seems to end. Normally dealerships annoy you for being too overbearing but this place was the opposite. I waited well over 15 minutes before someone came over. When I finally was greeted I asked for a salesperson and received a yup. I had to ask, are you the salesman? And I received another “yup” and a blank stare. I should have left right then and there. The salesman takes me around the Tacoma not even explaining about the vehicle just pointed at the truck so I helped myself by reading the sticker on the window. Then he took me to show me other colors. I said I am looking for the red color and he said they do not have it in stock. Well then search for one for me? Other dealers did that when I purchased my last cars. He just kept pushing me to go for the pyrite one. I told him no, I want a red one and he then said I would need to put a deposit down for them to locate one. Before we can even go over the price you want me to put a deposit down? Seriously?! Finally took my cue and left.

Totally satisfied with purchase

byeljleeon 08/03/2015

Was looking for a Prius, and shopped around at four local dealerships. Magic Toyota ended up offering the lowest price, and Christopher Heinz was very pleasant to work with. Christopher was polite (a lot of other dealers were very sexist, no surprise), super responsive, and worked with me to get me a deal I'm really happy with.

Worst car buying experience ever

bycarbuyer1976on 02/02/2015

I wish there was something less than 1 star! Because even 0 stars is too much for this dealership. I was interested in a 2008 Accord that they had for sale, whose price they recently dropped. I called them showing interest and told them that I was planning to buy a car over the weekend (weekend of 1/31). I was told that the car was available and asked to come over to take a look. Due to some delays I couldn’t make it in the morning, and called again at 5 pm to confirm that I can come over from Sammamish (over 30 miles!) to take a look and potentially buy if we can strike a deal. I was asked to come over and was told that the car was still available. When I got to the dealership at 7, the car was still on the lot, and one of the sales persons was happy to let us take it out for a test drive. Once we started the test drive, we realized that there was a "service required" light flashing on the dash. When we asked what it was, we were told that it is just a tire with low pressure and they would fix it before delivering it to us (in reality it seems to be a brake fluid level issue - http://repairpal.com/brake-fluid-level-warning-light ). We also realized that the steering wheel was pretty hard to navigate and when we started asking questions about the car, we were told that we needed to go back to the dealership to get the warning light fixed. Once back at the dealership, we were expecting to go to the service area, but were told to park the car and come into the dealership. Once inside, one of the managers rudely told us that the car was sold in the morning to another dealership and was not available for sale!!!!!!! When we asked them as to how we were not told about it, in spite of calling multiple times about the car, he again rudely said there are a lot of sales reps at the dealership and it is not his business to keep track which customer each of them is talking to and let everyone know that the car was sold! The interesting thing was that they did not even want to offer any other car on the lot which would match our liking. It was like they were not interested in making a sale. This sales manager was Gaeb (not sure if that is how it is spelled) Basically, they wasted 3 hours of our time, gas and energy and only to tell us that the car we were interested is already sold. Worst car buying experience ever!!! People complain about dealerships selling over priced cars OR unwanted cars (basically I go in for a civic and am sold a CR-V) OR buying unwanted warranties, etc. But here is a car dealership that didn’t want to sell me a car, and to top it off, they didn’t even want to offer alternative (they had another accord and 32 Camry’s on the lot!) I would stay 100 miles away from this dealership if it comes to car buying. Not worth your time, effort or more importantly emotions. We went in thinking we were going to close in on the car (it was Jan 31st and generally all dealerships are eager to make deals in the last few days of the month) with a pre-approval from our bank. Unfortunately we had to come out empty handed.

New Car experience

byRobinC7on 12/03/2014

We saw a National lease ad for a RAV4 that made us believe it was time to trade our 2011. We did the research on our trade and went to another dealership, ready, willing but unable after four hours to come close to the advertised payment...they couldn't give us enough for our trade make it happen. So the following day we went to Magic, after having received a call in response to our Edmunds inquiry. Our salesman, Mark, was very cordial and forthcoming. Keith, the Sales Manager, came over after realizing he may have confused us a bit with sales tax, sat down and we worked out a deal. We ended up with a payment $42 lower than the advertised one and $90 lower than the best offered by the first dealership. An all around pleasant sale experience topped of with an excellent deal!

Best car buying experience ever.

byspringeramjon 10/29/2014

My experience with Magic Toyota was the best car buying experience I've ever had. The Salesman, Dante Udani, was courteous, friendly, well informed and most importantly, not at all pushy. It was as though a friend had stopped by with all the answers I needed but with the ability to get a key for a test ride. We had no intention of buying a car that day but we got all our questions answered, we liked what we saw and we liked tht attitude, so we purchased a car. It turns out that was no anomaly because when I brought my son back a few months later, he got the same treatment.

Great Service Rav4 90 thousand mile maintenance

bylandwealth4uon 08/10/2014

I had my RAV 4 90 thousand mile service performed. The price was correctly quoted and charged. They fixed a small light rattling around in the hood and installed a new one. I have 3 Toyotas and I get all of them serviced at Magic. I don't waste my time going anywhere else. They really try to go the extra mile for good customer service. I would not have commented here, but what impressed me is that they keep trying to improve even when you know you are good. That is worth commenting on.

Worst experience. Don't buy here.

bykenjilon 07/31/2014

Where do I even begin? Magic Toyota has delivered the worst dealership experience I've ever had. I purchased a used FJ Cruiser on June 21, 2014. Since this date, I have had nothing but issues with the vehicle. I have yet to make a single car payment, but the car has been in the shop for 13 days on 3 separate occasions. I have had 2 CEL on as well as constant shuddering due to a bad torque converter. I first took my "new" car to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the issue as being the catalytic converter and torque converter that were going out. Mind you, this was less than 2 weeks after I purchased the vehicle. I contacted Magic Toyota, where I was first ignored for 2 days. Then, Jim (one of the managers) called me and said to drop off the car and everything would be fixed for free. A day later, I pick up the car and expected everything to be fine. I was mistaken. Two weeks later, the same CEL comes on. I had the car rescanned so I know the issue hasn't changed. I took the car back to Toyota, where I'm told the catalytic converter issue alone is going to cost $2,700. Besides the catalytic converter, I have been quoted another $1,500 to replace the torque converter. Or the fix Toyota offered is to "buy a brand new set of wheels and tires." So now, I'm facing a $4,300 bill to fix a broken truck that I purchased from Magic Toyota 1 month ago. I would have just payed the extra few thousand dollars for a brand new vehicle from any other company If I could've forseen such issues. I gladly payed well above blue book value because I trusted the dealership when the told me the vehicle was inspected. Currently, my car is still at magic Toyota. It has been 9 days since I dropped it off. It only took 4 voicemails, 2 emails, and a call to corporate to have anyone respond back to me. Still, nothing has been resolved.

Magic Toyota service department is one of the best service department I have ever had to deal with. They are quick, honest and have integrity. Khing L. is always polite on the phone and in person. He always gets the job done, and he does not take all the credit. He says it is support staff. I can honestly say he knows customer service and he excels at it.
