Great buying experience
by Tudorsp on 09/11/2017Came to the dealership one hour before closing time on a Friday to get a car with the hard to find combination of color-interior-features I wanted that I spoted on line. Clyde, the finance manager and various other people staid late after… there schedule to make the sale happen. I got a price that won't produce buyer's remorse, a fair trade in value and a good financing rate. Clyde mafe sure that the Android Auto feature was set up properly as I left from the dealership straight to my inlaws in difficult driving conditions, over 200 miles away. He answered every question I had in a timely manner and was an all around pleasure… throughout the process. We spent a few days in different dealerships and everywhere I felt very uncomfortable and didn't want to go back to.. so in the morning I was talking to my… friend about our experience in other dealerships and cars and her husband suggested us to go to Lindsay Volkswagen (they bought their car there and they were very satisfied for the quality and the price) I went online and when I saw the prices - we just got up and drove there because German cars are the best and the price were very appealing, I couldn't believe my eyes! So we spent there a few hours choosing a car, and our sales person was Raj (Rajesh Mishra) and the Finance Director - Larry Schiro and they were so polite and were showing and explaining everything with patience. And when finally I found the car that talked to me, we took it right away! Raj was doing everything so we can get what we really need, want to and simply feel good and taken care of!!! Plus they have very good variety of coffee/hot chocolate etc.. -it is very important when you are spending long time choosing a car :) And all the staff was so polite and they were smiling not because they need to but because they were happy to see you around - this small things make you feel comfortable, happy and satisfied!!! Thanks to Raj and Larry!! So if you really want to buy a good car with a good service- just go there and they will help you out! I will definitely go only there next time I need a car!!!Awesome Care of My Vehicle

Having said that, nothing about my experience indicated that this is a dealership that will give you the run around if you are buying in a more… conventional way. They also have some of the best prices in the area I've seen on all models. The dealership itself is clean, well organized, and comfortable while you wait. Everyone I interacted with was helpful, pleasant, and professional. Joshua, specifically, deserves the highest commendation for helping me through the process. Much of our communication was done via e-mail and he was very prompt in all responses. He is knowledgeable about the product and answered all my questions. It's clear he does far more than the bare minimum at the job and he really has a passion for the brand. The service and experience at Lindsay and from Joshua was excellent and I will certainly be back for future purchases.Wonderful Experience due to Professional Customer Service
by DSJColeEnc17 on 08/29/2017We researched all of the VW dealerships in Virginia for a specific model and trim of an Atlas SEL, and our experience with Lindsay VW further proves why it is ranked #1. We contacted and visited other VW dealerships in the Hampton Roads,… Richmond, and Northern Virginia/DC metro areas but ultimately decided on Lindsay VW, which is 3.5 hours away from us. We were shown excellent customer service by Mr. Elliot Moos, our sales representative; Mr. Larry Schiro, the Finance Director; Mr. Blake Curtis; and Mr. Marc Weinstein. While we were there at the dealership: (1) we were not hassled; (2) there was no excessive or ridiculous haggling (it took 5-10 minutes to negotiate a fair price based on our research); (3) the details of the car, the financing, and other processes and procedures were well-explained; (4) our questions were answered; and (5) we were not pressured to buy anything not on our list of "must-haves." When we returned to pick up the car, we were checked on and given updates on the car, as it was being inspected, by the aforementioned gentlemen (and we were given VW water bottles for waiting). We highly recommend Lindsay Volkswagen Dealership for its professional staff, great customer service, respect for its customer, and ease of purchasing a car.Excellent service

At the point of drop off I asked them to also fit in the safety inspection which they happily did. They handled the service perfectly and even… provided a rental. Everything was done to my satisfaction plus the car was cleaned inside and out. It sparkled. Huge kudos to Glenn for a perfect service appt delivered on time and beyond my expectations.Atlas purchase

This is our third Jetta from Lindsay (We love them!). Bob is much more than a salesman - he's an extraordinary… "VW Customer Care Rep." We came to Lindsay years ago, and I asked for the service manager and said, "Please put us with someone that is not going to pressure us - we are looking for an experience." He put us with Bob Dervy. Bob Derby's reply stood out from the pack because he was straightforward and personal--not a generic mass email reply like I got from most other dealers. As I… narrowed down my search he answered all my questions and walked me through the process of an out of state purchase. He was extremely transparent from the get go, informing me about their pricing and incentive programs/rebates available. We communicated frequently via email, phone, and text and he was always pleasant to deal with, never pushy, and prompt with his responses and follow-ups. I wouldn't have made a 700+ mile trip to purchase a new car if I didn't trust the people I was dealing with so, needless to say, everyone at Lindsay was great. Everything was done over the phone and via FedEx. Bob picked me up from my hotel the day I picked up the car and we took a test drive and he walked me through the various functions of the car. Easiest, least stressful car purchase I've ever made. I wish all dealers operated Like Lindsay and hired people like Bob.Lindsay Volkswagen and its stellar staff
by sanpanico on 06/22/2017People are quick to complain and/or criticize, so I wanted to do the opposite and complement sales associate, Bob Derby, for accommodating me in searching for, locating a car that met my requirements. I was looking for a pre-owned Passat… with a 5 speed manual transmission, in a specific colour, etc. I have searched online all over the country, and most VW sales people I connected with thought the request was ludicrous or they (unbelievably) did not know that the Passat was ever made with a manual transmission, and were adamant that I was wrong. Conversely, I received nothing but positive responses from Bob who kept me apprised all along the search process until the day he did get one in stock. From start to finish my car buying experience was smooth and pleasant. This is my second Lindsey VW car, I still have a 2009 Jetta 5 speed! The entire staff I dealt with from Jerry the GM, Blake the Pre-owned Mgr, to Mr. Bob Derby were wonderful. I will remain a loyal customer, and recommend this dealership and its staff to anyone interested in purchasing a Volkswagen.Bob Derby is the BEST!

I was 21 years old and shopping on my own, as my husband was not able to come with. Bob treated me like his daughter and gave me… all of the information I asked for. He was not pushy at all! he made sure I was comfortable with all of the numbers and did not try to take advantage of me and take all of my money. He was very nice and gave me any info I asked for, and tried his hardest to get me the best deal possible. He was so nice! He also kept contact with me over the next few months while they were working on registering my car in Ohio for me. He was very thorough and so helpful! I met with Bob Derby at the showroom which by the way was beautiful. I told him what… I was looking for and he was tremendously helpful. He quickly identified 3 vehicles that fit what I was looking for. He showed me the vehicle that best fit my search and was very knowledgeable on all aspects of the car, including the engine, the transmission and all the options the car possessed. We went on a test drive and Bob again impressed me with his knowledge of the vehicle. With my prior research done, I knew that Bob knew what he was talking about. There was never any pressure placed on me to make a purchase. I was so impressed with the car and with Bob and his professional demeanor, I decided I was done doing research and I told him I wanted to move forward with buying the car. I can say that this was the best buying experience I have ever had purchasing a new car!!!!Raj was the best!!!

He was able to help me with my situation and wasn't one of those annoying pushy salesmen at all. He was kind and considerate and worked hard… to get me the best deal. In addition to this, he was very responsive and explained things to me in a way I could understand. He's the kind of salesmen you want to meet. Then Larry and Laura from the finance department worked hard to negotiate with the banks on my behalf so I could get the lowest APR and monthly payment possible. They were very receptive and listened to my financial needs. I was able to get a brand new 2017 Jetta even though I had a lot of negative equity all for a low price. I seriously thank the stars that Bob was the one who helped me. They're so considerate here and I'm truly thankful!Awesome buying experience!!!

I drove all the competition and the VW Golf was the car for me so I started my search the modern way - Edmunds, cars.com, Autotrader, etc. Lindsay VW had the best price in the country! I flew… from Detroit to Dulles and Raj was waiting to pick me up. At the dealership my car was indoors, fully detailed, waiting my inspection. A wonderful car buying experience all around!
